New Active companion question:

Will it be a set number of companions, or will you gain a bonus for simply as many as you own? (Making those in invest in more companion slots via the cash shop gain larger bonuses then those who don't)

Or will you simply gain a bonus from the companion that is currently "Active" and being used? (Meaning the stats/effects won't be used in pvp)

To gain the bonus, the companion must be slotted in one of the 5 active slots. It doesn't matter if they are summoned or not. It also doesn't apply to PvP.

Also you now get the final 2 active slots from leveling and don't need to buy them in the zen store. You will get one at 30 and the other at 60.

Every character gets 3 Active Companion slots and a number of Idle Companion slots. Any companions slotted in the Active Companion slots give their Active Companion Bonus. With the new module, characters also unlock additional Active Companion slots as they level, with a total of 5 at level 60.

Companions in your Idle slots do not impart advantages but do count towards your collection.

You only get the bonus for the active companions you have.

Any companions in the Active Slots will grant you the bonuses whether they are summoned or not but idle companions will grant you nothing.

Good to know, also good to know it wont be a additional "pay to have a slight advantage" add on...think the mount speed is already bad enough lol...but digressing, now just gotta decide which companions to get XD...wonder if Pig prices are gonna go up that + health while CC'ed seems decent enough, though that would only really interest me in pvp, those dang CW's =p

Granted that pay mount people DO get faster speed BUT since mounts are bought with ZEN, you CAN get them too with TIME (i.e. collect AD and convert to ZEN) so it is consider convenience. NOW... what is advantage is account bound companion pets in packs vs Zen Companions (one character only)
To grow old is inevitable, to grow up is optional.
Please review my campaign and I'll return the favor.

Well with pet upgrade costs, and some of the pets costing Zen, I wouldn't bet too much on that.....unless you can farm up about 10 - 15 million+ ad in a reasonable amount of time.

ok not quite 10 - 15 million could do this setup for around 6.5 million if you were starting from scratch and really trying to get the most out of it.

Will this make the dancing blades useful?

The regular dancing blade should be useful for some builds. It increases critical severity. The Jagged version not so much, since it provides a bonus to your summoned companion.

Yes, very usefull. for the 7xx,HAMSTER ad it costs for the blue companion you get 3% crit severity. 5% if you upgrade it to purple.
