I have been playing this game at level 60 for a couple weeks now and i think there are some issues with the dungeons and the grouping system at level 60. I have played quite a few of the dungeons and it really seems like Tank+healer+CW is somewhat required in a lot of instances. I can see better geared or skilled players are going to be able to use GWFs as tanks but it doesn't seem to fire off dungeons in this manner. A group that spawns as TR/TR/GWF/DC/GF usually ends with someone leaving before moving three steps because players don't believe it's a good setup. If you're the DPS in this group you get shoved back into a 15-40 minute wait for this. This isn't any fun for anyone involved. This might actually get worse with the upcoming module and Hunter/ranger. If they're another dps without the control nearing the Wizard class the queues are going to just get more clogged for melee dps. I cannot say i know anything about coding, but i think if the developers aren't going to adjust the about of adds in boss encounters another solution needs to be made.
Anyways, this is what i think you should do:
1. Move the PuG Queue to a 6 player queue.
2. Require Tank/Healer/Controller+3 dps. (you can still allow CW to load as addition dps)
3. Add a Random Dungeon portion to the queue system.
I think you should do this because it's just too much waiting/spamming channels to find groups. I understand the responses of "Find a guild to play dungeons" etc but that doesn't help out people right after they hit 60, and a lot of group missions you'll run in this game will be utterly depressing, ignoring addition problems like language barriers, skill gaps between players etc.
ps. Yes i have done dungeons without CWs they're doable but they are simply harder than without and that additional difficulty isn't worth the trouble esp for players that have quicker queue times.
pss. Remove the guild require from GG, it's just lame.

I believe, with module 2, you don't have to all drop out and start over, the party leader can invite someone into the group to replace someone that drops out.
I just hope something gets done about the lack of love for GWF's. I read it on here all the time, and certainly in game. Every time their is a skirmish event or dungeon event I press K. With my GF it's an instant popup for group join, with my GWF, I will sometimes go an entire hour and not get a single group.
The funniest part is, my GWF is setup/spec'd (as much as possible) for CC + aggro + tank, and simply brilliant in group dungeons with a CW or DC (I've grouped manually for a couple of zones and they make a near unstoppable team, did the entire pirates skyhold with a CW in about 10 mins!)
Where as my GF is completely and totally spec'd for solo runs, DPS with nil CC and no aggro and is useless as the aggro magnet/tank for groups, even his CD companion gets more aggro than him, which is handy in boss fights because he can get combat advantage + crit really easily as they constantly turn towards my poor cleric (she is a trooper though)
So in other words, for group runs my GWF would be a way better pick, but the auto queue almost never picks him.

I leveled up my main (CW) from the opposite side, with a GWF partner. It works really well, Come and Get it was made for such a team up. Both classes have AOE and single target abilty, one burst and one from at-wills. It allows for a lot of really good tactics to be developed. But above all, Come and Get it.
But the queue priorities are really messed up given the design of the dungeons. It's worse when you get a GF that won't tank or a DC that won't heal from a random queue. Everyone else probably waited a long time and these guys get in quick but don't live up to the roles that give them that privilege.

Exactly! The queue system as it currently stands and most importantly players perceptions, as they currently stand are flawed. ... GF? Ooh you guys are all tanks and can keep aggro off me = Instant group. GWF? Eww you are useless, bye bye, to bad, so sad!
If the imbalance or usefullnes between GF's and GWF's was as big as people seem to think, then it would be flagged as a major bug/imbalance, and I'm sure Cryptic would have fixed it by now. But player perception isn't a bug. And the truth is with the options of gear/spec/enchant/feat/power available to both classes, they can be interchangeable and more importantly is how they are played.
However the queue system is definitely flawed/skewed and that IS something Cryptic need to sort out, though the "fix" in this case might actually be some careful, positive marketing for the GWF rather than a coding/game mechanics issue.
The que can be rough. I imagine it is going to be really rough with the flood of HR coming soon. These are positive suggestions and good observations. As long as we keep talking about it in the forums and bumping threads like this it will get noticed by the devs.
Side note, GWF is getting more love lately. I think it has to do with the fact that we have had to own our class in PvE and when we do get begrudgingly picked as the ones left in the zone, we give it everything. Just this week in FC the 2 TRs and CW got ganked by a crit from the spiders big AoE in the first min. Me and the GF rocked it to the finish line with enough time to que again. They were like "I heard GWF was <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> but that was awesome, you must have an epic gear score!" Nope, 10k, I just know my class and play my part

Yeah, I remember doing a CtA Pit Fight and when the scores rolled around at the end, my GWF was ranked highest for damage taken, and third highest for damage given, and more importantly I was the only one who hadn't died at least once. That was with a TR, DC and CW with 2 x GWF's (the other GWF placed last in everything except number of deaths, which he won BTW) Yet I was the lowest level player, with the TR the highest level in the group!
Now, I hear people laughing their tuckus off at that comment, but think about this: Why do so many people play GWF? It's because it's the tankmage class -- the one that doesn't have any real weaknesses. A GWF can do AoE, they can do CC, they can tank... and they DPS. The only thing they can't do is heal. They're the easy button. That's why so many people play them.
The other classes need to be brought to the same level of ease of play as the GWF, or this disparity will continue. I'm not saying the game is too hard; I'm saying it needs to be easier to play the other classes.

About the CTA events, except for really low level chars who don't have all their encounter slots and for certain classes have to take poor powers/feats early on, level isn't that important. Obviously, a 14k GS epic char has an advantage since the game is scaling them as any other level 60. Skill and tactics matter more than anything though. Also, the GWF can really shine in skirmishes because there are rarely enough enemies in one place for their target cap of 5 to matter.
