For some odd reason, I have a sound that plays every so often despite what I'm doing in the Foundry editor (2d only so far). It sounds like a zombie/monster/groan sound. I have nothing else that is on that plays sound. I've switched maps, open and closed various sound nodes. It just keeps happening every minute or so.
Any help or direction on how to get rid of it or even where it comes from is appreciated. Thanks.
After closing it and coming back to the quest and playing it in 3d trial/edit mode....it's still there.
Does it happen only after playing it in 3d preview/edit mode?
What if you don't go into 3d mode at all and only stay in 2d?
If it happens after going into 3d mode at least once - my guess is a soundcard/driver issue.
Try updating your soundcard drivers perhaps.
Do you have a "backdrop" background sound set?
Can you identify which sound effect it is?
Do you have any zombie npc's or encounters?
Or any special effects?
Do you have a zombie companion or some companion that makes that groaning noise. I left my cleric companion active after a run through preview mode and I kept hearing my companion's voice every once in a while, despite being in 2D Editor mode.

It was happening before I went into 3d/preview.
I only changed the appearances on the Backdrop settings. No sounds.
I haven't found it yet in the list of sound effects yet.
Yes, there is one map with undead encounters on it. I was not working on it when I turned the speakers on.
There are some portals of a different map, magical barriers on another, and fire effects on a few.
Additinally, after exiting 3d/preview play of a few maps, the dog companion sound could be heard once in 2d mode. I'm guessing that there's some sort of "bleed through" effect going on.

Are there zombie companions? I have some encounters on one map. But I also heard the dog companion bark once after leaving 3d/preview mode back to 2d mode.

Well, there is a foundry bug where EVERY Audio effect in the (map? quest?) being edited "plays" (at once) when switching into/out-of preview mode. If there are any "looping" sound effects those will probably continue to loop.
