so they nerfed the coal wards and now u have to buy them. is there any news on the price they will have on this - because if the price stays on 1000 zen - or 385k ad ..all this new system does not worth anything - and prices would exactly as it is now. unless the will hold the price as it as now - on 120k ad or like 300 zen. any thoughts about it?

Technically, the player base can set the price of anything. This is why the High Vizier set is about 800k a piece. The price will fluctuate a lot at first but then it will even out somewhere, and where that somewhere ends, no one knows.
Personally I think the price will increase because the demand will be the same but the supply will decrease (simple economics).

I think the demand will actually increase. Once the number of Coal Wards needed to make a perfect is reduced from 85 to 15 I think a lot more people will begin the grind to increase their enchants, especially the people currently using a "lesser". Right now it takes 5 Coal Wards to go from shards to regular, or 21 to get to greater. Many people do not want to spend the time/AD to gather that many CWs, and I don't blame them. With the new system you need 3 CWs to get a regular (2 to make 2 lessers, 1 to combine to a reg) and only 7 to make the greater, that is a much more reasonable goal.
If enough people dive into the new system then I think the demand for CWs will increase, despite the reduced number of CWs needed to make each enchant.
From my limited understanding, in Module 2, the only Coals that will be available will be for sale are from Tarmalune Trade Bars, obtained via Keys, or purchased directly from the Zen store.
Thus, the minimum long term price of Coals will be the break-even price of buying enough Keys to guarantee a Coal. The maximum price will be the price of Coals purchased directly with Zen.
Given that without Tarmalune Trade Bar jackpots, the average Trade Bar gain is 10 per Key and Coals cost 200 Trade Bars, that implies with a 50% breakeven on 20 Keys, that's still an AD sink of 1125 Zen x 400 = 450k AD (at current exchange rates). This is higher than the cost of Coals via Zen (1000 Zen). The implication is that breakeven must be higher still. However, it would need to be an extraordinary 85% or more, i.e. only losing 15% of your AD investment into 20 Keys to break even by selling a Coal at 120-130K, the current minimum price of Coals in AH. If this were the case, the Zen-AD exchange rate would rapidly rise.
So, given that demand for Coals will be the same or much higher, unless they change either the Trade Bar or Zen costs or greatly increase Coal chance from Coffers, the days of 120k AD Coals will be LONG gone...

I believe Cryptic has said that you can still get Coal wards from Wondrous Coffers. The only change is that they will be BOP, so there will be no option to sell them. The only way to buy Coal wards will be from Tarmalune vendor or from the zen store.
Thanks for all of your feedback and suggestions on this! We apologize that this change didn't get a patch note. It was an honest oversight on our part and fell through the cracks.
Our original intention with this change was twofold: to give wards a little bit more significance in the global game economy, and to help those of you who want to accelerate the Sharandar Campaign to prep for Dread Ring.
We've given the change some time to bake on Preview, and your feedback has helped us to modify our plans. Here's what's changing:
We're putting a modified coffer back in at the 7-day mark for invocation.
This coffer will still be able to drop Coalescent and Preservation wards.
It will have a chance at getting refinement gems.
The Wards and Refining Stones this pack drops will be bound to your account.
We're moving the Sharandar Booster pack to a 6-day reward.
As always, please feel free to provide any and all feedback about these changes in this thread. We really appreciate you helping us test all of this stuff out before it hits the live shard!
