persisting inability to get into game

This message>>> "too many attempts. please try again later">>> appears whenever I have tried to log in.

This started approximately ten hours ago.

Customer support has not yet responded. Any knowledgeable individual know what's going on? Any plausible theories available for consideration? Any additional paths for acquisition on information about this mystery available?

Is this message coming up even after just one try to log in? if it is then maybe somebody is trying to force their way onto your account and failing a lot?

Yes, as soon as I put in my password and click the log in button, the message appears.

Following up on that train of thought, I clicked the log in button without putting in my password, and the same message appeared.

You may be able to resolve this by logging in with a different public IP address.
Try enabling one of the proxy options in the launcher.
You should also be able to call your ISP and have them release your IP.
