Unable to exit Pit Fight CTA map

When attempting to loot the chest at the end of the Pit Fight CTA map, I received the error "Inventory full. You may only have one of a unique item." I was unable to loot the chest. When attempting to use the portal to leave the map, I then received the error "Error, take your treasure first."
The only unique item contained in the chest was the shadow wolf mount. I had previously collected a shadow wolf. However, my previous shadow wolf was in my bank, not in my personal inventory, so I was unable to discard it in order to loot the chest.

If you already have a Shadow Wolf in your inventory and one appears in the chest, the game will not let take *any* items from the chest. Also, the game will not let you leave the instance until you loot the chest, which of course you can't do. In addition, the game will not let you join another CTA instance until you close the previous one, which you can't do.
The only work around for me was to completely exit (not just log out) the game. The chest items.....chalk those up as a loss.
