Hello everyone ^^

So a lot of you already know about the SF nerf on the preview shard. I am considering dropping my SF and picking up either a Bark or Negation.

Who has used what? What you your results?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Is this for pve or pvp? In pve, it's a significant buff to SF. The majority of the time I get killed in pve is one big hit from way more than 25% of my health, so a free rez every 90s is great. I currently use Barkshield, and it does exactly what I want. It mitigates initial damage since I'm usually the one pulling and who has aggro.

Have you considered a thunderhead? I currently use a normal one, not the lesser, and its really usefull for stunning those sneaky sins that try to kill you with lashing blade, it seems to happen rather often. For Pve i'd go with barkshield, as the guy above me said, it mitigates initial damage nicely.

Never considered TH /: How long does the stun last against actual people?

I'm still not sure about getting rid of SF for this reason: The new artifact & campaign buffs give out a LOT of healing and regen. I could see a Perfect/Greater Soulforge procing you back to 25% health, 1300 regen kicking in, plus the healing from a pot or the Raven Mask. We're not Sentinels or anything, but that could easily get us back to 75% health VERY quickly.

Only problem is you'll get smacked over the head to the 2nd death the moment you are resurrected. For now, there's a bit of confusion about how SF works and people (including myself) tend to walk away when the other player dies, only to see him arise again. Once this confusion passes away and everybody will get used to the new SF, it will be nigh useless for CWs, at least when compared to something like Barkshield (if they don't nerf that one as well...).

i wouldnt say its completely useless. if you are prepared for you you can instant CC (repel, teleport) as soon as you go down. Not to mention if you are use the raven artifact.

I would suggest you wait and see before thinking otherwise.

its an epic buff the old SF is useless exactly when u need it since only way i die is being hit for 50%+ hp

does it reset aggro like normal death ?

No, the mobs are immediately up on your HAMSTER as soon as you get up (in their midst of course).

does it cleanse CC ? but not losing aggro is a problem only with low lvl ones, as long as u get some 3~4k hp to survive 1~2 normal hits u should be able to gtfo and pop a pot if u have stamina. and its much better than the old one that didnt proc cause u got hit by 50%~100% of your hp or some other, stupid, reason or bug, i have it on my gwf and its trash, u sometimes die from many small attacks cause it didnt proc for whatever reason, would have replaced it if they didnt change it

I have a regular version on my CW and 3 secs of immunity are godly against a resurrection amidst some huge fight plus some lame regen that rarely gets to tick due to me dying again. Those 3 secs were amazingly good against anything non-tene.

And it procced correctly as well.

But who cres, I'll enjoy it a few more weeks then it will be selling time, or trading for a barkshield, will see.

Good point Trace /: I just feel like I can do better than the new SF. Bark seems to be really helping some CWs out there. But I have decided to hold off until Mod 2 hits main server. Never know what new enchants might be available :D:D:D

    Great! Just bought it.

So it resurrects and heal some HP after death and what about the aggro?
I guess you get the aggro instantly back unless some GF is working in the neighborhood.

I am thinking about add heavy final boss battles in pve like CN I don't care about pvp.
In MC final boss battle it would remain decent I think.

If you are surrounded by dozens of heavy hitter adds then healing 4-5000HP doesn't really give you only 1 or 2 seconds.
Maybe Barkshield for pve idk. At least it can be properly farmed.
