HAPPY TO TRADE REVIEWS!This Quest of the Campaign:
The Demi-God's ReturnNW-DLODE83WG Completion Time:
30 MinutesStory: You have saved the
City of Grumura, and closed the
Rift of Happiness and Sorrow, or so you thought. The Rift has been mysteriously reopened again in the
Merchant City of Valencia, which happens to hosts the second largest,
Temple of Kelemvor in the Sword Coast. This time, you enter the city while the
Ashmadai and
Shadar-kai are attempting to seize the city and its people. Most of the townsfolk are safe in the Courtyard Marketplace, for now. Priest Pius has already given the Symbol of Kelemvor to a chosen Acolyte of the Temple who has since died trying to rebind the seals. You must find the Symbol of Kelemvor, reseal the three remaining Shrines Seals, and protect the temple from any intrusion by the
Shadar-kai and
Ashmadai.
Campaign: This quest sets the stage for the following quests of the campaign. The dialogue at the Temple will describe the following quests to the series. Please note that dialogue had to be written for this quest, as well as to set the stage for the follow up quests.
Backdrop: City of Valencia, fully customized 512x512 map hosting city. 1500/1500 detail to offer the city its own character as a rich merchant city.
Theme: Unlike Grumura, this particular quest is more story based, less challenging, more manageable encounters. There is dialogue in this quest not only to support this particular quest, but the future installments of the campaign, so expect a little bit more than average.
Playthrough: This is intended as a SOLO quest.
Encounters: Mostly
STANDARD and
EASY, some compounded, but nothing unmanageable. There are a
few ELITES, but nothing like Grumura.
Pictures of Quest: To be added shortly.
UPDATES:
11-1-13_Rev: Fixed issue with Street Rats not spawning encounters.
11-3-13_Rev: Fixed dialogue options on a couple of NPCs, changed Hexer Skinned Encounter to Eye of Gruumsh Encounter to avoid hearing, "For the Nasher's" on a Succubus Skinned Encounter during combat
11-4-13_Rev: Moved Street Rats a little to make them easier to find, changed Shrine Enc to a different Elite. Added more text to objective title in Courtyard Marketplace, and added DM Note to first dialogue with Mayor explaining dialogue choices.
11-11-13_Rev: Added core dialogue choice to Town Crier (obj dialogue NPC) divulging the exact location (spoiler) to find a core quest item, or a hint (non-spoiler) by providing the locations to all five Street Rats that may have the object. Made some adjustments to the ending dialogue to maintain consistency with following quest to be released.

Sequel: The Return to Sloping Street NW-DACVPHGHW
Part 3: The Merchant's Tower NW-DC3LB6TZ9
Story: Basically this is a continuation of the Lore established in the previous mission from the Fall of the City of Grumura. Even Priestess Taco comes back which a good nod to what happened before. There is a lot of Lore and back story in this mission. It reads very much like an official module campaign. The large back story at the end by Priest Pius was a nice touch that will make players want learn even more about the story you are crafting here. Nothing really here needs changing. I only noticed one typo in all the dialog and that was where Priest Pius referred to Lolth as "he" when it should read "she."
Campaign: I like the campaign you are writing here about the uniting of the Ashamadi and Shader Kai in taking over human cities for Azmodius. I previously played the Fall of the City of Grumura which was also very good but The Demi-God's Return was even better.
Backdrop: City of Valencia was incredible. This was probably the best hand made City Map I have yet seen and far better then your previous Grumura city. The Temple of Kelemor was also well done. I can tell a lot of work went into these maps.
Theme: The theme was very consistent except for a few parts. One of the merchants in the square had a reply about testing the emergency broadcast system which seemed out of character and out of place. There was another immersion breaker with story at the end where the reply mentions Adam and Eve. Nobody in Faer

Part 3: The Merchant's Tower NW-DC3LB6TZ9
Nobody in Faerun would have any knowledge of bible stories. Consider rewording so it stays in character. There are many generic Paradise lost themes that could be used here as this is a common archtypical story in fantasy.
Play through: This took me about 90 minutes to go through due to all the reading and taking time to look at the details of the map. There was a bit of stumbling finding the last Street Rat and the guard said find the Town Crier. I already talked to the town crier and he disappeared and couldn't be found again.
Encounters: These were well placed encounters that were no stacked so it was rather easy. The only thing that was a bit off was the Imp archers that yelled out "For the Nashers." Consider using Skeleton Archers for the Imps since they don't say anything.
NPCs: The NPCs were rather standard looking. I swear I see that blue dressed Noble woman in almost every foundry. It was the dialog however that made this foundry work. The other thing I noticed was the Priestess Taco and the Mayor looked almost identical except for the hair color.
Conclusion: Overall this was a really good foundry and it works pretty much as is. It is five STAR easy.

Part 3: The Merchant's Tower NW-DC3LB6TZ9
I appreciate the heads up on the Encounter Imp Archers, do you recall where that grouping was on the map? NorthEast, Northwest, etc?
The Street Rats are supposed to be a little tough to find, as you can see with their placement. I will adjust the dialogue with the biblical references, it was more or less to be funny, and the emergency broadcast systems, if you felt it pulled you too far out from the immersion.
I am about to give your quest a run right now.
You are a talented Foundry author yourself, I cannot recall if you are already a part of the Scribes' Enclave or not, but it is an out of game guild for foundry authors. We all help eachother by reviewing one another's quests, it is a great way to get exposure for your quest. We all contribute to each other with playthroughs and of course help one another with questions for builds. Check it out if you are not already a member and possibly interested, www.scribesenclave.guildlaunch.com
