Catalysts - Where do we get them?

angrymanagementangrymanagement Member Posts: 487 Arc User
I have seen white minor catalysts (not sure if I got them from a drop/node/quest), but have yet to see green or blue catalysts.
Where do these come from?
Also, why would you bother introducing them when you already have wards.....which still have a use to a much much smaller degree?

Im curious if they can also be obtained from the various leadership task reward chests. It would be a shame if those, some how, got left out.

I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully they either do come from them or will be added to them before launch.

I've had 3 green ones from random skill nodes and last night one of the games development guys said that they will be added to the AD store in a patch today.

Someone in general chat said they got two green from 20 skill nodes. I also noticed blue ones available from completing certain solo dungeons on certain days. I got a minor one from one of those ethereal chests or whatever they are called.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

I wonder if they might want to limit refining by adding blue/purple to daily/weekly quests. Don't think the AD prices will be reasonable.

I really hope this is not true. That would mean you have to pay AD for the catalysts, successful rank ups, and any wards you use (yes I know you can get a few for free). That is just too much of a AD sink. I will make sure I have everything fused before this goes live if this is how it will work in the future.

Pretty sure the AD is just an alternate method of obtaining them. Like like you used to be able to buy runestones and enchantments in the AD store.

Well, looks like they might not of been added after all.

I let some of my leadership chests pile up for a bit, and headed over to preview. After popping open 87 Large Chests and 27 Large Barrels. Not one single catalyst of any kind dropped.

I received a green "mark of stability" today after checking around 12 skill nodes since yesterday in the dread ring zone. Haven't seen a whiff of the "marks of power" required for the two artifacts I have ready to evolve. Also haven't seen anyone on the test server with a blue artifact so maybe they're not in yet.

I doubt that many people have been running epic dungeons to try and get them.

Wish they would just have one type of catalyst. Having power for enchantments and also 2-3 other types for the artifacts is just going to be incredibly frustrating.

I noticed green, blue and purple catalysts in the Wondrous Bazaar on preview. (That doesn't mean they'll be there when the module goes live, though.)

i'm pretty sure they will be available in the wondrous bazaar once the module goes live. but the intent is that they drop enough in-game pretty much how enchants used to be available in the bazaar but their natural occurrence in the game was so much that few people if any purchased them from there.

they are at wonderous bazar at the moment, from 1kAd to 100k the biggest. Basically, all the rank 6+ will get a prize of 100k+ Ad for each catalyst you use ^^ So,arm a lot of rank 7 before module 2 and sell them when is come live :D A lot of ranger would need the stone $.$ $.$ $.$ $.$
