Has anyone else read the new Paragon Features for us?

I have to say, they look cool... BUT I don't see how they are going to top Spellstorm Mage. From what I can tell, there is no way it is going to top EotS and SS. Also the actual at-wills, encounters, and dailies look lacking /:

Thoughts?

We will still keep Ray of Frost.

To be honest, it all depends how much critical severity we the replacement class feature gives us. Eye of the Storm will be a big loss from a pvp perspective as its guarenteed crits, but if the severity is high enough, it could be worth moving towards a pure crit / arp gear set up? Thinking 2/2 Shadow weaver 2/2 Magelord (Magelord is the other crit one from memory).

Also, it depends what we lose / gain featwise. Losing severe reaction would really hurt any pure PvP spec.

One problem I see with rimfire: Its great that it refreshes Chill stacks. How will this work when a Target is Frozen? Currently the Chill stacks Disappear. If this continues with rimfire I cannot see it being super viable. As you effectively lose out on both procs. A simple way to counter this would be fore Rimfire to apply a single Chill stack. I see balance issues from a PvP perspective if Rimfire continues to refresh chill stacks. Lol at having 6 Stacks up on a target permenately. CP then becomes amazing.

We won't know alot of information until the paths go live on the preview and we can take a gander at the feat trees ect. I want to like the new path, I really do. But as it stands at the moment, Losing Eye of the Storm is too much.

No, Shadow Weaver is the T2 with the 2 piece crit bonus.

If we speaking about this stuff, you misread it, bro. Rimfire won't refresh chill stacks. Its chill stacks who refresh smolder.
Also, it depends what we lose / gain featwise. Losing severe reaction would really hurt any pure PvP spec.
This one is rather simple: as far as you you know, all 3 trees have one feat regarding spellstorm mage - one for Maelstorm of Chaos (rene.), one for Storm Pillar (thaum.), one for Sudden Storm (oppressor) - those will be replaced with flame master's ones, I assume.

As for EotS and SS - as Des said, it depends on actual numbers. Assuming you have perfect vorpal and 25% natural crit chance EoTS buffing your damage for ~21%. Since one of those feats gonna give us crit severity and another one flat damage boost on targets affected with smolder it may be not that bad. Depends on actual numbers, again.

And more so, my spidey senses tell me there gonna be new weapon enchants. Like something, boosting crit chance, for example. Depending on crit chance bonus from imaginary enchant and those feat's crit severity/flat damage boost, this combo can actually be better, than P. Vorpal + EotS.

About Storm Spell, again, too early to specualte - it going to depend on how much damage Smolder will do. How long it lasts, how often it ticks, how EXACTLY it refreshes. I mean, it stated, applying chill refresh smolder - will smolder be doing damage immediately after refreshing? If yes, and, for example, smolder ticks once per 2 seconds, spamming RoF will double the damage from it. (And spamming RoF on target, affected with tabbed CoI will quadruple it!!!)
It all depends, lol! Lets just wait for dem previews=)

Thats what I get when I read stuff when I am tired...

Just noticed something with the new Encounters / At wills that add Smoulder. They benefit from Arcane Mastery but does not appear that they build Arcance mastery. Yet another thing to juggle in order to push more dps.
