Devs: we really need more PvP modes

I'm an active PvP player... or used to be. Foundry and PvP remained the most attractive facets of the game for me since Open Beta -because, let's face it: official quests are plain dull and repetitive-, but I haven't done any PvP in over three weeks. I thought about it these days and I came to realize I'm bored of the same PvP maps and modes.

We've been asking for another PvP mode for months. Is it really too hard to achieve? Foundry designers have even volunteered to work on them!

Events are OK, but they come and go. CTA events are more of the same, just changing map, monsters and rewards. Midsummer Festival was epic. But you can only run a good idea so many times before it becomes boring too.

for me i would love to see something like conquest mod where its all about kills
or a King of the hill mod where one team has to fight over 1 capture point
and hold it till time runs out.

the last official word i heard about this is it is under development, but it was so early in the development stage, there was no way to estimate a time that it would be made available. also, i'd like to see completely new pvp areas... not just using existing assets in the game... so that would rule out foundry authored pvp maps.

I would like to see more maps added to the PvP Domination mode.

Would also love for there to be a way to make our own PvP maps with the Foundry. The possibilities with this leaves my mouth watering. And once they basic set up is introduced the Devs work is done. It would solely rest on the players hands. You want it? Then make it.

Other possible PvP aspects I would like to see added eventually. Some sort of dueling mode, maybe have it not work while in Protective Enclave though. I would also like an Open world pvp map. Where anyone inside the map is free game to attack. Throw out some mobs of npcs to spice things up and let the fun begin. There should not be any new or better rewards for this area though. This way the area is optional only and people who do not like/want pvp do not feel obligated to enter. Those of us who want to PvP, do it for the PvP, not the rewards. Maybe set up an hourly event/contest bracket like other areas have and those who participate can get some glory out of it depending on their ranking.

Devs say its a pve type game mostly, only reason most my guild logs on is pvp,cn,mc. DO something about pvp already forget about pve for once you might get back all those players you lost.

Agree totally. Specific and glaring omissions to PvP play are Duelling, Arenas, small scale encounter variety, and large scale Battlegrounds. As mentioned, the Foundry is the perfect solution for over-worked devs to see this to fruition.

Oh, and if PvP doesn't matter ask yourselves what is was that pushed people who love WoW (looking straight in the mirror here) to leave a game they enjoyed all aspects of for over 7 years ...

So at the very end of the endgame, where everybody has its dream gear, the thing u do is PvP.
...And when PvP gets u bored u just find a better game to play.

the rate at which some players expect a gaming company to provide changes or additions is unreal. these people should try government work. ;)

pvp here is simply, the 1 whit more regen/def or deflection and tenebrous win. no need epic gear, since almost all the pvpers use rare accessory ( more hp or regen ). We don't need more maps for pvp, we need new way of thinks the pvp. Not simply **** run to a flag and get it, but something more hard. Like a team atk a fortress and another one defending in,some epic dungeon whit 10-20 people inside whit very hard mob to kill it and finally some real boss whit no add, but only brutal force and skill. We maybe never get that, more easy let's people make more account for pvp, so they can tell " Neverwinter have reach 2mil account" -.- when 70% of them are inactive after some hour or are bot on gold seller
