Hi all. I know that you can set/alter game controls via options from the main menu, BUT the problem I am having among numerous others is this: the mouse controls the screen, which i dont like because i have to go into an options screen to move the cursor and select items. Does anybody know if it's possible to stop the mouse from moving the screen? Can I change it so that the arrow keys move the screen to look around instead of the mouse? Any help would be appreciated. I cant really stand playing until I change this, if possible.

Why are you using your mouse to select things anyway? That's why all your powers and potions are mapped to keyboard hotkeys. In direct answer to your question, I don't believe you can change the setup so the arrow keys control your view.
The Alt key toggles mouse-look so you can use your mouse to interact with menus and such. This is only temporary; I know of no way to change this behavior for actual game-play. I don't think it's possible, because of how integral mouse-look and mouse-targeting are to the combat system.

I disliked this feature at first, too. Although, I don't mind using the mouse to change view angle, that's just like a FPS-like mechanic, but what I didn't like was having to press Alt to use the mouse to click on the top row of menu icons. Just felt "unnatural," and yes I don't like using (or remembering :P ) a plethora of keyboard hotkeys for open-menu options. I'm "old", I can barely remember all the combat hotkeys, hahaha. ::shrug::
But you use it a while (the alt key) and you get used to it. Doesn't bother me anymore. Actually, usually I use the I (inventory) key instead of alt, since 90% of the time if I want to open a menu, it ends up being related to needing to shift things around in one of the inventory tabs (backpack, professions, gold/money tab, etc).

Trust me. Try a controller and you will play 75% better....
