I know cryptic is busy with all sorts of things I assume. I know my life is real busy this time of year but...forgetting the foundry screenshot of the week?
So the only visibility for these will be on Facebook?
The thread to submit a screenshot is still stickied, but hasn't seen activity for nearly 20 days. I can understand the desire to increase your social media presence, but many people use the forums, and may never see (or think of) submitting a Screenshot to be featured unless they have some sort of recognition here as well. Out of sight, out of mind, as it were.
We, as players, *could* go snag the link to the FB post and make a recognition post here for the author, I suppose... but it would seem to be a nice gesture to the community (especially the one that develops free new content for the game) if there were some recognition here as well.

Forcing the community to track FB, Twitter, and whatever other social media venues you are plugged into, rather then your own forums is a huge mistake. Someone with your social media smarts and education, Sominator, knows better. Social media venues are an adjunct to conventional communications venues, and cannot replace currently accepted paradigms. Further, if the intention is to move these communications to another venue then at least there should be an effort to communicate that change to the community through the already accepted communications channel. I am seldom critical of Cryptic policy in general, but this is a mistake, and was not handled well.
Why would you take the foundry screen shot of the week off the NW main page? That is another way of helping the authors IMO by having it on the main NW page. I refuse to use facebook. I stopped using facebook when they took away the ability to ERASE your facebook. Now you can only disable it.

Enjoy!
