I open this cause I'd really like to have for all my characters shared Gold/AD pools and shared inventory tabs for crafting resources/assets. Wouldn't this be great?
By now I created a fake guild for my characters to transfer gold, I put and remove AD on market to trasfer them and send resources/assets by mail. I's UNCONFORTABLE ^_^
It's not a complaint, just a suggestion, and wanted to know if you'd like to see this thing in the game too :-)
Its been said that one of the things holding back having shared storage was having multiple shards. Apparently it had the possibility to make the system wonky. Now that, that issue will be removed shortly. Shared storage might be an option on the table in the near future.
Its a fairly standard feature in Cryptics other two games. So its really just a matter of time.
If the remove the 2 character slot limit ill support this otherwise this is just a way for people too farm items/gold/AD etc the easy way
Now it takes a bit of effort and money to farm this way.(meaning it discourages more people of farming)

Your post makes absolutely zero sense. First of all, what 2 character slot limit? You can have up to 50 characters per account. And passing gold around requires the same action weather its on the same account or not. You need a trusted handler to move it around. Something that has zero effect on farmers. The ability to transfer gold via a shard bank would have minimal impact on this. Its already possible to move AD between characters on the same account so nothing at all would change with account wide storage.
And lets not forget both of Cryptics other games have account wide storage. Its going to happen here, its simply a matter of time. Farmers or not.

I would gladly pay 30 - 40 zen apiece for shared bankslots. Co is selling them for about 22 zen apiece if I recall.
Agree we need a shared bank. At least we need a way to send AD so we don't have to put dummy items up to sell and take a hit when we just want to xfer AD to ourselves.
This shared bank system is yet another standard in modern MMOs which is sorely lacking here in Neverwinter.
And it should not cost anything to have a standard share space like the current bank system and only cost for an upgrade to it.
When I see that in order to share with my other characters I have to go to a mailbox which only are in the Enclave and mail to my handle it feels like a jury rigged workaround and is a sloppy method and is wholly inconvenient. And stacking items into our mailbox is the same as far as data goes as having them in another place such as a shared bank tab.

Unless you are transferring AD across accounts. Something a shared bank wouldn't help anyhow. Transferring AD between characters on the same account can be done without any fee or loss at all. If you are using the AH you are simply doing it wrong.
Use the Zen exchange. List your AD for 50 per zen (or any extreme offer that you know wont sell, ever). You can then cancel the sale, and withdraw your AD with any character on that account. No fees, no cost, no problem.

And yes this is effective and I do it too, but is it really what the AD/zen exchange was put there for? I think it would be better to have a dedicated sharing mechanic in game offered as a cash option for inter-account use. Stacking items in the mail que to save bank space and constantly adding and withdrawing ADs from the exchange is both clumsy and inefficient. It will do for now because there is nothing better.
And you know me by now . I can be so tight with game money my inventory squeaks whenever I open it. But as long as they keep the price REASONABLE I'd be more than happy to spend some $$ for this convenience. But the old way is still there for those either unwilling or unable to pay for a better option.
I agree, a better option would be welcome. But I don't expect it to change. Even in Cryptic other games with a shared bank we have never been able to transfer the AD equivalent. Only the gold equivalent.
And at this point, thats good enough for me. Id just be happy to have what the other kids in the other games have. We can work on requesting additional features after that
