There should be a option for clothing/gear to have a color test options(or a NPC that allows you to test out colors)
So you can test out colors with your gear/clothing before you actually buy the colors.

We all know you can't play a dungeon with out looking fashionable sexy right?

kinda agree; how about "painter" NPC who would paint your gear (in selected colors) for ~75 zen (you would have to color all 3 slots in item you want to color).

Ya all right but he must have a preview option before you even pay for anything

This! You don't even know what some dye will actually look like on the specific gear you're using. For instance, certain pieces have different ornamentation or accents on them, and it's not clear if they are part of the primary/secondary/accent potion of said piece. Add an NPC near the face changer guy who allows you to preview each and every dye or dye kit that is available, or even try out combinations (like a dye kit and a dye bottle layered on the same peice).

Yup, a preview window where you can combine colors and Dye Packs is indeed needed. I have died my Rogue's gear with the Cleric Dye Pack in hope that I would get a lighter color. What I got is dark gray and brown with golden highlights, which is no way like the Cleric armor. I obviously didn't get the results I was expecting and though I like the new look, I'm still wondering: how do these packs work? Why is my armor half brown when on the Cleric armor there are no brown parts?

In case anyone was wondering how the Cleric dyes look on the Rogue armor:

All manner of preview options are needed in this game.
It is a blaring oversight and is in almost all mmos now as a standard feature.

Having the preview option POST purchasing is nice, but at the same time I do agree with you guys that there should be a PRE-purchase option for the dyes to see how they look on your current armor.

    Pic looks amazing, btw.
    contents to be decided

khimera906 yea, I have that dye on my TR as well and I bought red bottle dyes to add a little AC (and a bit of patriotic) theme to it (on accent which is colored in gold).
Effect? Red dye was almost pink on accent slot :(

A rather good idea. It would be nice to be able to see how a dye looks before purchasing. The previews they give are not the most accurate.
