Question re the promo Mercenary Companion

Does anyone know if the Mercenary Companion (given away as a promo-code in the Sept issue of Polish mag CD-Action) is account-wide, or just redeemable on a single character only?

I have obtained one (thanks to a Polish colleague at work!) and would like to know before activating it as it will affect which toon I can potentially place it with.
