But that's the problem , $15 is enough to buy half a mount , that is insane , especially when you consider that the next maintenance will probably add one that looks even better or cooler therefore leaving the person who spent $30 dollars quite annoyed and jaded with the whole system.
So... two months = a mount? Honestly, if people would just get over the need to have everything they want NOW they'd be a lot happier. The AD --> Zen conversion to me feels almost subversive since it means you can save up for quite a bit and spend only your playtime, which, if you aren't enjoying to begin with - well, you probably shouldn't be spending money, either.
Do I think the price points for a lot of stuff in the Zen store is too high? Most definitely. I don't spend my $15 a month on those things, or if I wan them badly enough, I save up for them instead of spending my Zen every month. "Better" and "Cooler" are very subjective, and personally I kind of like that not everyone is going to sport a particular mount.
Cryptic and PWE want to stay in business and they want to make money. If they aren't making enough money, prices will come down. If you don't like their prices, don't pay them, and that day will come sooner. Also, don't spend money on an item/mount/whatever unless you want that item THAT ITEM ONLY and not just because it's the new or shiny thing. It's as simple as that.

At this point i doubt they could do anything to make me a subscriber
Had they handled nightmare tuesday better, fixed the exploits right after launch so the economy wasn't screwed and fixed the classes instead of using the nerf hammer on some i would have subscribed
I'm afraid they're past the point of no return now though. I don't see how they can ever revert the damage done by early exploiters and i have lost faith in the will or ability to balance classes
Not that i'm quitting, it is free after all and at the core it's a fun game
