Rogue Weapons

Why are Rogues confined to just daggers? In FR lore most of the famous Rogues , Artemis Entreri, Jaraxle Baenrae all used a sword and dagger...seems confining to only be able to use daggers as a rogue...also are there no morning stars in the game?

    There are some short swords, rapiers and hand axe options for rogues as well.

    And no, there are no morning stars.
