Wanting a Dwarven Companion and Other Random Thoughts

Don't know if this topic is plastered all over the forums or not, didn't look. But I really want a dwarven companion. Maybe one that bald, epic beard, likes to smash things with a hammer or his fists. Also, must be an alcoholic, never pays his tab and maybe has a slight problem with brain-tailed tieflings, hot-tempered spellcasters, and nature-y elf people. Mostly he has a problem with evil barbarians... from Luskan. He really hates those.

This may or may not have anything to do with my tiefling rogue named Neeshka. ;)

Sadly, we have a slight overabundance of tank-y type companions. Including 4 humanoids of the "fighter" archetype, numerous animals, and the occasional "anything else" here and there.

My recommendation? Add companions more associated with the factions we are dealing with in the new content. Delzoun Explorers styled dwarven warrior, Luskan Corsairs pirate-y type, a Moon Elf bow user (copy and paste one of those guards that help you in that one Feywild quest... don't remember name of quest), and a red cap spellcaster (reformed or coerced, could be funny). I know there's already the the Cold Iron warrior and Leprechaun, but the warrior seems to be filling a similar bill as the Man at Arms, Sellsword, and Neverember Guard. Maybe not mechanically, but visually (big humanoid in armor, hit things in melee). The Leprechaun... no criticism, none at all. It's a flippin' Leprechaun!

Ehh, just my two bits... mostly I want my dwarf... :p

There is a Storm Rider companion who uses Ice Arrow coming soon. They leaked that on previous patch notes.

Not so much a dwarven companion, although I support the suggestion. I would like to see basic companions from all races and classes, so we can mix and match as we like. Some way of customization would also be great. Just think of it as Bridge Officers in Star Trek Online. People that play that game, know what I mean.

IMO, it's the strikers that we have too many of. I'd be all for a classic dwarven cleric - give them heavy armor, a mace & shield, and a simple heal spell as their secondary attack, (their primary would be a mace attack that generates threat).

I'd also love to see account-wide companions added. For someone who plays a lot of alts, (like myself), it's much easier to digest a purchase where all my characters future or present could benefit.

I'd also like to be able to use dyes on my companions. For humanoids, this would recolor their clothing/armor, and for animals/creatures it could recolor their fur or carapace.

Yeah being able to dye companions, at least ones that use armor similar to players would be nice. There have been a few times a cleric... and her 4 identitcal sisters... with the same fashion sense have all been in the same party, lol. There are a couple account-wide followers. You have to level each on separately, but you will always have them as an option. Any from this list http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Promotional_Item_Giveaway_Codes are account wide and if you get the big packs (Neverwinter Hero, Neverwinter Defender, Feywild Knight pack) those are account wide.

I want to see a chicken companion. Make them available buy doing a series of quests, or something special but available to everyone who wants to do the legwork to get it.
