What, because I did them late once. I have to do them at that time every day? Or miss a day. It's bloody stupid.

    Eh... no?

They reset at the same time every day. It's 12:00 for me in central european timezone. So you can do them whenever you want.

Mine don't, maybe I'm in the wrong time zone. But they seem to just count down 24 hours from when I hand them in.

    You are thinking of Invoking.

Dailies are on some cycle. Not sure if its 24h or 16-18h, but it is not on a specific time for reset.

Daily Quests now reset at 3AM Pacific, instead of 20 hours after they were last completed.

and you can pick a daily (lets say pvp domination) do just 1 match and keep the quest. it will stay in your journal, you can finish it the next day or 2 days later if you want. but as long as you have the quest in your journal you cannot catch a new "pvp domination" quest.
