As per the preview patch today, which I am sure will hit live soon:
Items and Economy
•Change Appearance: Temporary versions of Summer fashion items are no longer able to be transmuted over permanent items.
•Change Appearance: When a Bind on Equip item is transmuted to look like a Bind on Pickup item, the resulting item is now bound.
Oh well at least now I have no reason to have to do the event on all 7 characters, especially since they don't seem to be adding the Petal Bags back in to the Favor Store like they had on test.
What is funny about this is how similer it is to another "exploit" that got a ton of people perma banned.
Players use an existing game mechanic (transmute/quest sharing) to bypass another game mechanic (petal grinding/daily mote accumulation) in order to access content (festival shirt/melabog's domain) in a manner that was not intended by the Dev team.
Be afraid.

Actually, a CM did step in to make a statement about it, but then quickly stepped out by deleting their own post.
CM as in "Community Moderator?"
I'm sorry bubba, I ain't official, just a player. I removed the entire thread, along with my post, because I had misread the actual question and didn't initially notice the word temporary.
"Temporary" items are temporary. Finding a means to make them permanent is borderline exploit. As such the thread was removed from view and an explanation given to the author as to its removal.
This is another one of those common sense don't do's. I don't get told any more about what is or is not an exploit, it's simply examining the facts and making a common sense judgement call.
If something is supposed to be temporary finding a way to make it permanent should be a slap in the face obvious unintended bug and well within the grounds of a ToS violation which could result in additional punishments if PWE/Cryptic so chooses to take such action.
If they don't it's because they are being kind about the situation and don't feel it has enough of a negative effect on the game.

I am fine with it not being able to be done any more - but if everything is reverted there will probably be an uprising.
I do have to say it was a really dumb idea for them to make the shirt the only piece you couldn't craft. Its bad enough to try to get the petals for the pig pet (the only thing worth it in the entire event for those of us who have the better mounts already), let alone having to get enough for both pig and shirt. Cryptic need to learn at some point that grinding is not a way to extend game life, it certainly isn't fun. The fact that they removed the petal bags from the favor store (like they had it on test) has already ruined a large chunk of this event since the Favor is useless to me.

Whenever you see a topic like that, and you see no discussion from a CM or a Dev step in; something is wrong.
