Yep, I said it first. I INSTA quit if I notice a team has three or more players in the same guild. Sorry, blame the devs. I would be the first to join a PVP guild if that included Guild ranking, ladders, etc. As it stands, I can quit any time, no cool down, no penalties, and if I am reallysuggest all Pugers to do the same. Encourage the Guilds to
(complain) that NO one plays PVP against them. That way maybe Cryptic will make it worthwhile. Plus you get awesome PM's from
(unhappy) guilds.

What an attitude young warrior! I bet with this approach you soon become a master of Neverwinter PVP, known by all players across all servers!
Hail the PVP king joncans and all to him similar!
You should only insta-quit if some player in your team has too low GS (I quit if 7K GS or below).
And by the way the team which has the highest chances of winning is not the team who has 3 guildies, but the team who has the most sentinel GWFs on their side. Because those are game-breaking in PVP since you cannot kill them even with 3-4 people and they camp all day long in your node so you can't get points.

also if there are trs that permanently stealth around me and hit me that's a quitter for me. like yesterday. i can't even imagine how to build a game where one class can be stealthed, blink in for 1 second and is stealthed again for several seconds while i only see that i drop in hitpoints. if at least my area dmg would break his stealth but being permanently picked by a class that i cannot see and target is just masochism if you keep playing in such a match. and btw.: that is no skill at all. using a class that can't be seen but can crit for over 20k and kill you instantly is just using a bugged and inbalanced game mechanic. that has nothing to do with a player being good or bad. being good or bad would come into place if you see long fights, where ppl dodge, run, hit, dodge, use this and that abilitiy and then win the fight, not if i use the "i win" button.
so yeah, blame the devs for having lots of pvp matches where ppl quit after 2 minutes, some wait in spawn and basically 5 ppl wait until the timer is over and they have won the match.
Like 4th person stating their reasons why they immeditialy quit the PVP. I so much hope they implement some really big penalty for leavers like you because nothing is worse then ruining game for 9 other people because you do not like somebody gear score..
Really, I don't even have words how to explain my personal opinion on you guys..
Like you will never achieve anything with this kind of approach to things.. Never..
If you leave at the beginning before the game starts, you are automatically replaced by a new player.
And I leave before the game starts, if I'm with 7k GS people. Because what is the point of healing 7K GS people in pvp ? None.
Unlike GWFs or TRs, I cannot carry the match by myself, but I can carry a team with my healing.
But for that, I need a decent team, not useless people with 7K who can't even pay a very few AD to have decent gear and not green/blue.

How you can know if you are quitting almost every single game? Since some time the game starts within few seconds, what does it mean? In 99% the leaving person is NOT being replaced leaving the game being 5vs4 etc..
Again, you cannot know that because you are leaving every other game.
And again what I am posting for 100 times already. Playing outnumbered, or with lesser skilled/ equipped players is what makes you better. You never improve by spawn camping, leaving or playing with good players against a bad team.
Also you are pretty selfish, leaving 9 people in a fcked up match and not bothering about it at all.
Oh gods of Neverwinter, bring in the penalty so we get rid of those low skilled/ whiny/ selfish wannabes.
Yes if you leave before the match starts, you are automatically replaced, I'm glad if I taught you that.
Of course if I was a sent GWF I wouldn't care much, cause my build and class alone would allow me to win the match by myself.
Low skilled ? Haha. How'd ya know ?
Being a healer-cleric and getting roflstomped while your 7K mates are getting OS constantly and can't kill anything is no fun at all.
I wonder how'd you expect 7k people to kill geared GWF ? They simply cannot.
Having fun while you got roflstomped with your 7k GS team is a good thing for you, I wish you much fun.

lol sotrue
For my other alts, like uri92, I only leave if there are two or more max-geared GWFs or am playing against or with two or more of the p2w and pve-ninja Lemonade Stand guild. One almost unkillable GWF is fine since he can only ever be on one cap point and I can kill almost all of them on my CW anyway, but two is a guaranteed win against a pug even after their nerfs (yes, I have met this combo several times post-Feywild).
As long as you leave within the first 60s, I believe, your empty spot will be filled by the system.
If you hate any sort of challenge whatsoever then go do PvE and stop Q'ing in the first place...
PS: there are a lot of guilds out there that suck just as much as pugs lol, you have to know who you're up against. You might be leaving vs. people who don't know the 1st thing about PvP.
But you wouldn't care about that b/c it's all about you getting top spots in the score right? I see no other reason for people that leave vs. good teams except they either want to be #1 on the scoreboard or they can't stand a challenge. I can't wait until they implement a leaving penalty, I just hope it's a harsh one.
Edit: My Cleric just hit 60 recently, has 9.2k GS and I love to PvP on him. You can't expect to do well at PvP when you are full PvE spec with no survivability. I spent <10k on regen blue's and I'm all survivability specced and I get top 5 in 90% of matches.
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.
And by the way: Due to the game mechanic in Neverwinter I would never call PVP a skill based gamestyle. As said already: Where is the skill when you are stealthed almost permanently with a rogue and can one-shot someone? Or when you are most of the time immune to CC and receive temp hitpoints all the time? Or when you can block permanently while waiting for your cooldowns, then jumping someone and kicking him around?
Also where are the teamplay elements? In other games classes had stuff to help other people. Guardian tanks that could basically throw a rescue spell on a teammate once he was beaten hardly. Wizards that could buff their teammates or dispell effects etc. The only "teamwork" in Neverwinter PVP comes up when you coordinate who runs or stays at which tower. I almost NEVER see anyone in my team try to protect me - the healer - from getting beaten to death, while i - the healer - try to keep them alive in return.
lol at this...
As I said I have a DC at 9.2k (all blue's) GS and am LOVING PvP. Takes 4 focus to kill me quickly, anything short of that and I heal/regen for days.
Try rolling a TR and see how "cake" it is to stay stealthed 100% of the time and do enough damage to kill someone, spec has to be perfect, gear has to be specific, timing has to be exact, and even then one random ability from someone that saw you breaks your chain and you can't stealth again.
So funny when I hear people say no teamplay elements. Domination is 90% teamplay strategy, 10% killing players. The only reason you need to kill players is to clear the point. I've had so many matches where my guild just threw together a team and it ended up being something like 3 CW 2 TR lol just b/c that's who was on. Then we come up against a guild premade with 2 GF 1 GWF 1 TR 1 CW (their team comp should literally stomp us 1000-50) and yet we still win b/c of our point fighting, delay tactics, back capping, and teamwork. We lose by like 20+ kills, but win the game b/c of teamwork.
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.
Haha, posting while intoxicated. That's all I can really say about this post.
So get in there and take your beatings. You will become a better player for it.

Totally agree. You learn most from players that are better than you. What can you learn against someone who is worse or even equally skilled?
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.
And this is the golden truth I have as well posted like 100 times.
Unfortunately majority of people are weak personalities, people with no patience at all
How you can explain those people that it's the only way how to improve and that it actually requires patience..
Who likes staying in match when after 2 minutes it's 400-12? Yeh, not gonna comeback from that. I'd rather leave, insta queue and hope for better match ups. Just today I have already left 4-5 matches and I ain't even mad bro.
Better in PVP in this game = 95% class/abilities & 5% experience/skill
Tell me what I should learn from a GWF that can't be killed when I play a DC please. Or from a TR that stealthes and kill me. To stay away from them and hide somewhere? And tell me again: What skill is needed in pressing Tab as a GWF to be unstoppable and stomp most of the players? Don't tell me please that "skill" means that you grinded weeks to gear your char and that putting the points in the uber feats means you are skilled.
I know, domination is about getting the flags, run, cap, run, cap, avoid useless fights... boring. That has nothing to do with mastering a class or being skilled with it - if you want to do that you can run around with gimped 5k GS. That has to do with understanding the map and play strategically to win. Sure I have seen parties that basically lost every fight but won in the end because they capped the right flags at the right time.
But as I say: Bring a killcount map and all this strategy is gone, then it breaks down to the classes and then current inbalancing issues count even more and surely will be visible for everyone.
I instant quit vs 3 Guardian Fighters/2 GWFs who I know are running Tene, armor swapping and more. Those are the worse kind of Premades because your team quits within seconds of getting to hold point 2 only to get stomped by someone's faceroll!
They usually run 3 GF 1 TR and 1 CW/ 2 GWF 1DC, TR or CW. Funny thing is vs 3 GF the queue will put a DC on my team. Really! 4dps and useless vs 5 dps. Vs the 2 GWF set the queue is even funnier it will add two!!! yes two DC's to the team. That's 3 dps and two useless vs 4 dps & 13k crit healer (i've seen this 13k crit heal).
The difference between your teammates gs is even worse. Let's say I have a 13k GS and I pug. The queue will match me with one other 13k gs on my team and the rest is 6.7k~9k (if they have 4 purple it's a miracle).
True story.
Then don't pug, that is the risk you take pugging. Would be nice if they had a pug only qeue and a premade qeue, but even then that can be abused to an extent by time qeueing.

Actually there seems to be something like this already, the full 5 man team que takes a lot of time, and the chance of facing another pre-made is greatly increased.
Lol that's a great idea, I'll write down quitter names and then join their groups only to leave after the first boss. Heh imagine if that was the penalty for leaving, "Your next dungeon you will be booted after the first boss AND you can't even pick up that boss' loot" =P

I only agree to this when it comes to LVL 60 PVP. Players should be playing PVP as they level so they can purchase the PVP epic gear by the time they reach level 60. It is HAMSTER gear to stay with compared to the better epic gear in the game but it is good for players who just turned 60. I use to help guild members out by buying the PVP gear for them when they first turn 60 because the glory was worthless to me. I now salvage the gear since its bind on pickup.
Honestly, "insta-quitting" without saying something is probably to harsh and you should probably say something first or get stomped a few times before saying something and quitting. Most players who enter LVL 60 PVP with this low level gear give the other team an advantage that is almost as bad as them quitting because they get killed so easily. What is funny is that some think they should win with low lvl gear when facing higher lvl geared teams and come running to the forums to cry for nerfs.
There is no point to whine for nerfs because you win some and loose some. Crying just makes a player look like a crier and no one, especially the devs, should take them seriously. Have a nice day!:)
1. Quitting JUST because there is 3 guildmates on a team, or 2 gwf/gf is a comment from a very poor PvP'r imo. I rofltomped premades into the ground with pugs quite often. Just cuz its a premade, doesnt mean its a good one. <
Remember that
2. I never inspect anyone, I could give 2 sh!ts about their gear, and neither should you.
3. I quit a pvp match when theres only 3 of us left(sometimes)
4. Whether I am in a pug, or in a premade, if the other team is getting utterly destroyed and cant cap 1 single tower. I leave. I pvp alot for fun, not for glory, so its pointless for me to stay in a match doing nothing. I'd rather quit a winning match, and Q to find another one where I can actually have some fun, win or lose I care not.
For me, I would rather lose a very close match, then stomp another premade, or pug into the ground. Theres no fun in that, I PvP because I want the challenge of facing another real person, not a mindless set rotation NPC.
If you are the person(which most of you are)that quits in the first 30 seconds because you lost the initial cap on 2, or quits because you are losing by 200 points in the first 4 minutes of the fight. Please..Please. Stop Q'ing for PvP. You are never going to get any better, and generally you only win because the rest of your team is carrying you, whether you believe this or not. Truth hurts.

PVP would probably be a great deal better if more people were like you when it comes to playing for fun and leaving when the other team is getting stomped so hard they are unable to even cap one point. Inspecting a team mate's gear should on come into play if you are on the team receiving the stomping. Inspecting a team mate's gear and seeing that they have blue/green gear explains why exactly the team you are is being stomped to the point where there is no chance of it being a close match. You are correct that 200 to 300 points is nothing and in some cases even 500. I have been on teams before who were behind 500 points and they won because they started fighting better. Granted everyone has different opinions and life goes on.
