Both zen wise and just in game. I am looking for the Best damage dealer and a cleric. Is there a cleric in the zen market if so whats its name cause the cleric in game is always dying on me. ANd damage dealer whats its name and is it zen bought or in game
Healing the best is probably Lilend, but she was limited and probably running 4m AD in AH. Barring that I'm told the Acolyte of Karamvor is pretty good, then the Tiefling Cleric from IGN Prime promo ($7 to get it, but its account wide) and of course the basic Cleric.
Not really sure about damage pets, but maybe Honey Badger...I think is zen. You could try either of the Pheora variants from AH.
Ultimately most people will tell you to get a cat or one of the stones because they transfer 100% of their stats to you.
Foundry - Fight Club? (nw-dluqbofu7)
- JailBreak (in development)
Avoid the Cleric of Kelemvor. She isnt really a healer, but more of a buffer. She mostly heals by buffing your life steal score. Unless you are geared to capitalize on that. Her ability to keep you alive will be limited.
Second to Lillend the Tiefling Cleric is next best, for the simple fact she caps out at 20 rather then 15.
The damage pets are of limited use. Even the best ones do marginal damage, and they will still die a ton. They can offer some marginal utility if they have a useful special attack, like a knock down. But even that is limited simply because the pets are just not smart enough to use those special attacks wisely. They waste the attack on a nearly dead baddie or wait to use it until the fight is nearly over.
The tank pets can be somewhat useful. Provided you can keep them alive. The default Man-at-arms was useful in leveling up my Cleric. and became good practice at keeping squishy players alive. But after level 45, he simply became little more then a speed bump and a minor distraction.
The augment pets, cat and stone. Are considered the best simply because they wont die in high level or epic combat. No matter how useful a pet might be, a dead pet is doing nothing for anyone. So while the normal pets might be reasonably ok, for solo content. Once you move to epic content, where the mobs can hit MUCH harder. The normal pets simply crumple and die. That coupled with the ability to allow you to push up survival stats like regen, life steal, deflect. Without lowering or compromising your main stats. Means the pets can still do a bunch to help keep you alive, without having to do much at all.

This pet can work quite well with Guardian Fighters.

Well, as I mentioned, its only viable if you are set up to capitalize on it. A Conqueror GF with plenty of points in life steal will have the damage output to really make use of it. A Protector GF ,on the other hand, will have less use for life steal and get less out of the pet. You really need a high damage output to get the most out of it. Small gains to base damage will net better health return then large gains to life steal.
The only good pet is the cat and the ioun stone of allure :O the other pet are only HAMSTER and they allwais pull mob xD Avoid that pet, and get an augment pet. No random pull, no ress, but they boost your stat ^^. If you need heal use potion since all the healing ops, sorry, leader pet have low and crappy heal
Best companions in the game as most have already posted is Cat and Stone, tbh i would say Stone for all class's except GF and use Cat for GF due to its belt slot and the availabily of good defence belts as oposed to dps belts.
As for Healer companions, again as most have already posted you can not beat the standard 'white' Cleric, and yes i know it can somtimes die fairly fast, but its all down to how you set it up which is the key. I find stacking it with Defence runestones works wonders, dont waste your time stacking any offensive stones or gear on it, the increase in healing is only very small, it works out alot better to stack its defence and survivabilty. so you end up with small but steady healing for alot more time.
i still use mine at lvl 60 in dungeons and it does very well indeed, usualy out last any of the striker or DPS companions with out any problems,
also it does not pull agro from random mobs like most offensive companions do which usualy lead to wipes
I was making a test and found out something extremely interesting. First about pets since I started this thread lol. I am a TR human lvl 60 and a Drow TR lvl 30. I have tried the companions men at arms on my lvl 60 and he was useless even with a lot of defense on him then I changed it out for power and he still died. I tried the (dont no its name) rock man he is a bit more useful as he keeps agro off me but dies pretty fast even tho I packed him with defense. Tried the in game healer at a lower lvl and she kept dying. Tried the phorea ( i got that from a chest that u open) so far I like that 1 athough it cant last in a long fight. Now on my Drow lvl 30 Something weird is happening. 1st off the drow when i 1st started I noticed that the toon is faster in attacks then the human TR. second she is hitting for twice as much as the human TR at lvl 1 and continues to top the human TR in damage and speed. So far she can take down any boss solo (unless I make a stupid mistake and hit the wrong keys) I really think the game made a mistake with the Drow and gave them more power and speed. It really is so weird. I built both of them the exact same way. Then I went and got a dog. and bought a wolf. the zen wolf is dying alot and the dog even as a young dog lvl 10 can hold its own and rarely dies. As I am hitting 1 mob it goes for another mob and kills it!!! So far I think the dog is amazing, but we will see at higher lvls. I say if u want a damage dealer get the dog from the companion market. On another note as more people play Drows and others start to complain I think the Drow is next to be nurfed. BTW ty every 1 for your answers I appreciate it. Look me up in game anytime and we can do a dungeon together, as thats the only thing I am missing is friends. I am on a guild but no 1 talks or does anything together. ~hugs to all~ .... Blade
I did NOT ask if the companions are better than casual and boring stones. For real, I just want to have an answer for a question I didn't find anywhere else, thanks.
In my little opinion, i think's the best cleric/Dps can be the cleric you get for free. Is the only 1 of all whit a 20% fo healing of your max hp ( i think's was 20%, not sure ), this mean he can heal almost as a DC healing world. Another nice skill is sacred flame, beacuse on third hit give temp hp and if you make her rank 30 ( cost around 1,750mil AD ) he give you more hp. If you look for a pet whit some healing, this is the only 1. Lillend is a buffer/debuffer, like the acolyte. They can't be compared to the devoted cleric for heal. This is only my opinion ^^ If you have allt he AD for make her rank 30, try go on the preview and try do it.
The little generic cleric is my little buddy. She gets herself in a pickle now and then, but if you don't stray too far from her while in combat, she'll keep you alive while you keep the bad guys busy.
i think the honey badger (zen) does the most with its rank 30 skill. cold iron warrior (zen) might do more aoe wise. Also theres a phase spider from the bar shop that could be good.
In general pets do crappy damage, my characters will do more damage using 1 at-will attack than their entire contribution. in a fight.....
(im using a armored orc wolf for my GF just for aethestics, hes rather useless and seems to agro everything even if my GF taunts/attacks something.
As stated in several other "companion" threads. The cat and the stones are the only ones worth anything after lvl 60. Nothing more to say then that. Until the dev's buff the HAMSTER out of the others they are useless to the point where it becomes a bad joke watching them fall over and self revive every encounter. I have most of them and all of them maxed with good if not great gear and enchants and I'd say its blue stone, cat, green stone then dire wolf for top 4 to date. The dire wolf can at least interrupt d.amn near any attack by nearly any mob which is why he makes the list. He still falls over a lot though but is the best of the "pets" IMO.
