Curious...list in order what you think are the most popular/most played classes in Neverwinter. What do you see the most? (list from most popular to least).

    TR
    CW
    GF
    GWF
    DC

Although it might be a toss up between the GWF and the DC.

If we could only get some statistics instead of guessing, with exact percentage.

I started the game on my TR to about 20..stopped and started DC to max level and geared. Loved it. Then started GWF and loved it. Then bounced back to my TR a bit more until 30 something..then stopped playing for a while. I am slowly coming back, but not sure I want to play my DC anymore. I see many of them, and where I used to find engaging healing play, I find..boring now. I dont know why. GWF is more appealing to me right now, but I don't want to play an overplayed class.

    Same goes for TR.

    Id rank them as:
    TR
    CW
    DC
    GWF
    GF

That's how I would rank them too; I was quite surprised to see orden had placed DCs last.

I placed them last purely on personal anecdotal experience. Before putting a LFG message out I check to see who is playing on my instance, and usually will only see 1 or 2 DCs on the list. Occasionally I will see more, but that is rare, when I do not see any on the list I won't bother posting a LFG.

From what I see in Mindflayer's Protector's Enclave, early-game zones for my latter three characters (two technically in Neverdeath despite massive overleveling, one in Blacklake), and late-game zones for my DC:

    TR
    CW
    GWF / DC
    GF

High-level DCs are more abundant than low-level ones, opposite for TR, no real difference for CWs or GWFs, and I just don't see a lot of GFs at all. I'm always one of a dozen TRs in a zone but almost always the only GF on the occasions that I play mine.

The scale of popularity is directly proportional to OP rating ...

DC for sure is last. I am playing a main and am disappointed with it:

    - In PVP he is totally weak and won't help your team alot, in contrary the DPS will just go down because of you making it harder for your team to win. And most likely you die very often and you will be the one getting focussed. If you like to be knocked down and kicked around permanently then this could be the class for you
    - It is hard to find open parties for dungeons because 1. they only take one DC with them and not 2 CWs (so the need is just one) and 2. they often have expectations of GSs that are way too high for more casual players or those who are new to 60. (ppl want a GS of 11+ or even 12+)
    - No one ever watches the healer in this game, neither in PVP nor in PVE. Unlike in other games were everyone protects the healers and tries to keep adds off of them in Neverwinter the healer is on his own most of the time. In other games I was used to tanks or scouts watching the health of the healer. If the tank saw the healer being attacked his first job was taunting mobs off. And scouts tried to kill the stuff that was picking on the healers. Especially in PVP healers I played in other games got a very high attention by the rest of your team
    - If teams wipe or some players they often complain about the healing and not that a CW did a crappy job in controlling the adds
    - Your choices are very limited when it comes to certain runs. In T2 dungeons you don't even need to play around with the damage or debuff abilities you have because when you swap them you lose you healing abilities and that is what you need in those dungeons. So the fun part is very low running a dungeon and basically are never really able to deal damage or debuff since you need to MAINLY heal. The weaker the rest of the team is the more focus there is for you to just heal

DC got the least attention of the devs. I bet even in official statistics you would see that he is the least actively played class.

On Euro times there are plenty of pugs who don't understand English very well, so I learned to keep it simple:

Mobs on DC = No Heals
Red = Bad, Blue = Good
    Red > Blue

TR is more popular than the CW only because TRs are supposedly more OP than a CW.
Then the GWF, because even though nobody likes to bring one along to a dungeon, they're great to solo with and do pvp.

I'm not sure about the DC and GF. But when I look at queue times, the GF has to wait the least. So I'd say GF is the least popular class, even though they're pretty powerful in pvp.

    TR
    CW
    GWF
    DC
    GF

GFs are are pretty **** powerful in PvP, and I also prefer GFs > GWFs in a dg party, but I really don't see many of them.

This is what I have found also. Just finished leveling my first toon to 60, a GF. Its funny, when I first started just before the GWF nerf I saw tons of them in the BGs. Since the nerf I rarely see them. A lot of 5v5s you see 7 or rarely even 8 of the toons being CW or TR.

    CW-regular see 3 in a party now
TR- always has 1.. Sometimes 2
    DC- every party has one

Gf-a few parties run with one

GWF- almost no parties run with one

One indication of the relative popularity of classes is the PuG queue wait times. The queue system seems to prefer one of each class, but it insists on having one GF and one DC - the rest is more variable. Now, I play both a DC and a GF, and in my experience the wait times are very short for both - I never end up missing an event because I waited in a queue the whole time.....something which I hear that some TR/CW players experience occasionally.

I am, however, getting the feeling that many players with lvl 60 DCs do not enjoy playing them as much as they used to, with the nerf to the HoF and the bug currently affecting some other powers (they don't crit ... should be fixed this week) - so the numbers for "actively played" characters might be different than the numbers for "existing characters".

I also don't see as many low-level DCs and GWFs as I used to....the popularity might be different for lvl 60s.
    Hoping for improvements...

After the last patch I would assume this is somewhat the popularity of play:
    1. Tr "everyone loves a one shot'killer"
    2. Cw "the most versatile class"
3-4. Dc/Gf "Dc is needed, but Gf's have increased immensely in popularity."
    5. gwf

There are allot of Gwf's but I don't think many are really playing them there are ofc a few straglers still clinging onto hope =)
Maybe doing their daily invocation, maybe some running about, but I see more Gf's and Dc's than Gwf's around these days.

but would love to see some statistics how many are ingame/(pr server), how many are doing pvp domination? how many are running T1 dungeons, and how many are doing T2 dungeons for instance ;)

Sometimes while waiting for queues to pop, I do a player search on a level range to see what classes people are playing. The results usually look like this (out of 100 results):

GF: 10-15 -- usually is the least common result even after changes making them more useful in dungeons
GWF: 10-15 -- holding steady in spite of the "Nerf Weapon Fighter" stigma, still fun to play solo and PvP
DC: 10-15 -- used to around 20 before the nerfs, one of the "trinity" but most people don't like to play clerics
CW: 20-25 -- one of the popular members of the trinity, sometimes get 35+ hits
TR: 25-30 -- most popular DPSer, numbers may inflated because bots are usually TRs, once got 50 hits

I only did this poll once after the Fury of the Feywild launch, so the ratios may have changed since then.
