Chains of Blazing Light: The chain no longer sometimes activates in a much larger area than intended.

I have noticed after the patch that CoBL now activates in an even larger area than previously. It seems to ensare mobs which are clearly outside of the AoE target diameter. Personally I find it rather nice because for the damage, I think it should have a larger AOE diameter but it is obviously buggy.

    I tested this some. I believe if a single mob activates the trap, it then activates an AoE centered on the mob that hit the trap that is roughly the size of the trap. Not sure if that's intentional, but it certainly makes it more useful.

    I've noticed this too; it used to be I could snag stuff just a little bit outside the graphic's border (not egregiously far away, just barely outside the circle), but now I can snag stuff that's way outside of it. I think the actual effect is opposite of what was intended with that fix. o.o;

    Yes, it's clearly broken but using chains as a "trap" is not convenient (when it works as intended), because if thre mobs come at you the first one triggers the trap and gets snared, the other two behind him are free and you just used a trap that's supposed to be AoE but doesen't really behave as AoE (in a convenient sense)... well I think that the current state of chains is the behavior it should have if it's laid as a "trap".

    But then again, it's misleading when you cast it in divine mode to trap a group of mobs that's already on to you and you place the reticle just over them and only one gets trapped because the other two, eventho they were under the reticle, they were not as close to the first target as to get caught in the "snare".

    I don't know if i could have explained that better xD... i prolly could.
