possible bug drow faerie fire ability

i have created 3 diffrent drow characters got them to level 20+ even thought there faerie fire has only a 5% to
activate and alot of times the creatures are killed fairly fast but the faerie fire ability has never activated
even a 5% chance and even though its only for a 6-10% reduction in the enemys defences i would like to see this ability and would think it should have activated at least 1 in all my time adventuring
maybe this should be looked in to
