Client Not Responding when changing characters

I play in windowed mode & often since the new module when I go out of the game after changing characters while waiting for the new character to load (taking a really long time now too) I come back & the game is 'not responding' & I have to close it with the X & restart. Just now as well, just loading a character after restarting the game the window was 'not responding' while waiting to load a selected character and going to a different window while waiting.

I was hoping today's patch might fix this. It did not so bumping.
