I really don't get why this kind of thing concerns people so much... It seems frivolous and prone to inevitable disappointment as balance shifts.

Personally i have a level 60 of every class and with the free respec i'm just curious what will give me the best chance to get into groups (I'm assuming wizard as always but ya never know)
The one you personally enjoy playing the most. As balance passes come and go, the relative power level of every class will change - further as new classes are added (an inevitability, as stated by the developers themselves; We're supposed to hear more 'in a few weeks'), and new paragon paths are implemented (also an inevitability), and new content comes out that greater supports A or B, it's going to change what is or is not on top.
Gearing up something that you're only playing so that you can gear up to do more content is the worst kind of psychological treadmill you can get yourself into. Find a class you enjoy, be passionate about it, and ride out the waves of change.
At the moment, the lowest performing class in PVE is the GWF. Every other class has something they can contribute to a group in some fashion. This is likely subject to change at some point (or I hope so anyway). Even then, you can still contribute meaningfully to a group as a GWF, it's just a DPS issue (with most of the GWF being set to do AoE damage, where most people prefer to avoid fights with as many mobs as possible; GWF single target damage is rather anemic, and this hurts them significantly).
It boggles my mind that people will play something they don't enjoy just to gear up so they can continue to do so.

Okay just so we are on the same level who is to say that I enjoy any class more or less than any other class? As a matter of fact though I don't really enjoy any of the classes more or less than any other, hence the reason i got them all to level 60. however until i get an Archer Ranger class (yeah i'm one of those guys) I have decided that none of my characters are a "main" and since they are all geared about equally (in the 9.5-10k range) I just have a hard time deciding what class to play.
Then don't focus on any one character. That's really what I lean towards - I just play whoever seems more interesting at the moment. As a certified altoholic (I had ~7 characters at level-cap in WoW, which is a bit less then I have at level cap in STO), it's a lot more fun to avoid shoehorning myself into any one playstyle. Just go with your gut. If all else fails, roll a die (once you get over 2 options flipping a coin is inefficient). If you lack physical dice, you could always google a random number generator, etc. If nothing else, it forces you to make a decision on what you REALLY feel like playing that day.
S'better then just going with what the sheeple say is the best. Worst plan ever, least chance of long term happy.
in pve most wonted class is dc and most op one is CW it can boost damage of team by 20% it do biggest total damage in dungeons his daily is the best in game and u must have one in team

Lol yeah i have plenty of dice from playing the game that started me on the path of being an altoholic and the name that this game steals (D&D). but for the most part not having the one class that i really want to play has left me rather disappointed in this game I just don't understand how they can release a game and have D&D anywhere on it without even having the most basic of D&D classes (Ranger, Bard, Paladin, and Druid). It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
In every rpgmmo the main attacker class or the main single dpser class will always be called the OP class in PvP... Ppl who keeps on whining in forums abt them because of PvP are simply inexperience in gaming... This poll shows how many ppl are inexperience in rpgmmo PvP
So does the OP mean in PVP or PVE? If we are talking about PVE i guess its a cointoss whatever it is TR or CW, if we are talking about PVP its obv. TR with a very wide margin Down to GF and GWF(not sure how much they are going to be nerfed tbh) with CW and DC as the sore loosers:)

Was intended as a PVE guess i should have specified that, although i only do PvP for the dailies and i don't enjoy it so i often forget about clarifying that.
Lol seriously CW is number 1? thats pretty funny. What is also funny is that even after "nerf" my sent GWF really didn't feel a thing and still tanks 4 players...
Also Stalwart was far from BiS even before patch IMO. I switched to 2 pc timeless and 2 non-set epics and lost 2% dmg reduction. But gained 4% ArP, 3% Crit, and sitting at 6.5k power all the time instead of 3k until I got hit 5 times and then 10k after that.
I had full stalwarts before I switched and noticed a big increase in damage after switching out stalwarts and only minor defensive losses.
Guild Master of <Enemy Team>
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.

they got hit with a huge nerf when their stalwart set got pimp slapped and its mechanic completely changed
