Which begs another question: How are they deciding what order to re-publish them?
I know what it is not and that is the order they were published in the first place. Or the adjusted rating.
I know this because half of mine have been published now.
Also, why are the featured quests on the new tab?
Maybe next time you do something like this you should think about it a little more.
It would have been an idea to publish the top 10/20 best, in the best tab. A small selection of new featured quests. and 10/20 new quests ordered by adjusted rating before anything else. That would at least give a good mixture of quests to play.
Maybe next time you should just allow players to re-publish their own quests, that way you could clear out many quests of players no longer playing the game.
I recommend you republish your quest manually at this point. After two days mine was still not showing up, even though I was finding quests with both lower ratings and fewer plays (ostensibly the system they used to triage republishing). I just hit republish myself and within an hour it appeared, with the small change I'd just made to the description.
Because existing quests have had to be republished, they all have published dates from 22nd August and not the original date of edit/publish.
Quests which may have struggled to get seen on the 'Best' tab due to size restrictions at least had a chance to be seen on the "New" tab previously. Now all quests are 'new' so you have no chance really.
We really need access to the Foundry database somewhere: either via Gateway, or on the website.

Imo they have made a bad situation ten times as bad. I wouldn't mind if we could look at the system and say, at least we will have it better once it has all settled down.
The problem is this tag system is worse than nothing. Already it is completely broken. Each search only needs one tag to appear or not appear in each search. The number of tags or more importantly the number of tags per play has no affect on the display order.
So for example any search you place, Tired of Being a Hero will be top of the list because it has been tagged already for every tag. On the other side of this any search you do of include none of these tags and you won't find this quest at all.
Any search system that works like this should show results based on the number of tags a quest has. In this case number of tags per plays.
Example:
So I click puzzle, I want to play a puzzle quest: right now it is as follows:
1) Tired of Being a Hero
2) Tired of Being a Hero
3) A Clash of Wills
4) A Clash of Wills
5) ect..........
This list hardly changes for any search. (They are good quests, but they are not really puzzle quests and I've played them already)
The fact that by introducing this system they have completely destroyed the New Tab is just a slap in the face to any Author wanting to make a mark.
This and the fact that PVP is in an even worse state really makes me question If I will bother with Neverwinter in the coming months.
The foundry is like creating the nicest drink ever but putting it in a bottle that can only be opened after you crack the Rubik's Cube. Possible but meh! I'm thirsty but there are other options.
I may come back in a few months but that really depends on the other things I find to waste my time with.
