Shards not merged

You stated shortly after the beta goes live, you were merging the shards.
You never did, and now you did Gauntlgrym and Feywild, but still no shard
merger. How can I play with my friends on other shards? When are you
going to fix this?

    I've been trying to get them to answer this myself but they're ignoring this false promise. I know many who would like this to happen.

    With upwards of two million people playing the game at the present, it is not practical to merge the shards at this time. I would not call this a false promise or anything of the sort, it is just a case of the game being more popular than initially expected and as a consequence, things that were planned, have had to be put on hold.


    This is also not a bug.

    want to play with friends, pick same server/shard... simlpes :D

    2 million active players is a lie. The are 2 million registered accounts. At the moment there are less than 15k active players, it's easy to calculate.

    I think a merge is happening soon.

    Honestly, this kind of indecision is a little annoying. If the intention is merge, then there should be some sort of schedule or plan of action to do so. If the intention is not to merge, then some sort of character transfer should be implemented. Given that Cryptic already knows what kind of server load they're getting, shouldn't they have already made this decision and be working towards a resolution whichever it may be? The fact that there is no stated plan for either is kind of frustrating.
