Devoted cleric in PVP

I have played dozens of matches now with a cleric (currently 10.1k GS, not too bad, but not the best either, I know) and I have to say, he is totally ruined, unbalanced and can't do anything good in PVP. Now I hear you again "The cleric is very tough in PVP" - no he is not! I have seen just one cleric while playing that seemed to not die at all, but this guy must have poured hundreds of dollar into this game to enhance his gear to the max.

Example: Last match - we had two DCs on our team, none on the enemy (in most other MMOs that would mean our team would hardly die), yet our team was dying constantly while the other team had the least deaths. DPS rules heals in this game. You cannot outheal a GWF picking on you, because the only thing a cleric really has - his heals - are 40% less effective on himself! Come on! The damage output is so low, that I could hit a GF or GWF minutes and he would just laugh at me.

While I am constantly CCed (really perma-CC - where the hell are the immunities in this game???), knocked back, knocked down, stunned... whatever I have almost nothing to CC enemies for my disposal (the thing I have lasts so short that I can just ignore it). When a rogue picks on me I am almost dead until he finally unstealthes and my heals can't rescue me in the meantime, Astral shield.. whatever - doesn't help.

This is the first MMO I play where a tank can kill a healer - seriously, that should not be possible. I would not be able to kill him (at least not in 5 minutes) but no tank should ever be able to kill a healer 1vs1.

Actually a team is better off with DPS, then they can clear flags faster. The healer won't help anyway unless it's like 4v2 anyway.

Playing a healer in PVP is NO FUN AT ALL! Seriously it is just a pain in the ***! What role does he has? Can't CC, can't keep the team alive, can't keep himself alive and ist just easy score for the enemies and lowers the DPS output of the own team on the other hand - also GWF and GF normaly don't need healers to stay alive anyway, if they are geared and skilled right they can take the beating of 3-4 people without dying.

I really can't understand why someone can build a class that is so obviously broken in PVP. And that it is broken you just see by the numbers of people playing them. MMO players tend to play the classes that are the easiest to play and bring the best benefit. And a DC is the opposite.

So when will the DC finally be looked into? Especially for PVP?

And no this is no "Cry, QQ I die so often" thread, I just want to point out how less fun it is to play this broken class in PVP.

    Possible answers you will get:

    1) Learn to play, you just suck
    2) You need to get crappy blue gear for stats that aren't on DC gear
    3) You aren't supposed to be able to beat anyone, your job is just to heal your team
    4) You have the wrong feats

But the truth is that you are exactly right. The DC is by far the worst class overall, especially in PvP. However, the developer's only response has been to SIGNIFICANTLY nerf our damage output. It's clear that they want the DC to be as weak as it is. Your only real purpose is to follow around the other classes and put down circles so they can actually play the game.

Any other class can keep you prone, stunned, or dazed more or less indefinitely. Most of them also have some way to avoid to break CC somehow. We have none of that. Our one advantage -- healing -- is already barely adequate if we use the cookie-cutter healing spec and powers. Yet that one unique thing is 40% less effective on US, the class who probably needs healing the most.

It won't get better. No one cares. I think it's actually intentional to have one class be an easy kill in PvP so that people who like to feel powerful want to keep playing. Some folks just get their kicks from ruining your day. PWE wants their money, too.

We've been talking about stuff like this in this thread as well as myriad others throughout the forum. Everyone knows something's wrong except the devs.
Kerensa Loreweaver, level 60 DC | Rilla Turtledove, level 60 CW | Calvin Meriwether, level 60 TR
Kaylee Krankenwagen, level 60 GF | Tavandruil Wayfinder, level 49 GWF | Aldith Langley, level 51 HR

I play(ed) a DC from the beta until around 2+ months ago, I was over 12k GS full defensive, MH set "earned not bought" and would tank the packs of trash before they "nerfed" the aggro with the GWF, CW, and GF marking, grouping, AoEing everything on me.

Then some "fixes" came from a large majority that didn't figure out that it was better to stand and fight, not kite unless they knocked you down or something.

The stacking of AS needed to be fixed, but without the aggro of the mobs there was no need for perm blue circle so that was nerfed in duration as well. If I held aggro standing in AS firing off DA faster the more mobs beating me with the healing increases from a temp HP build you were invincible as long as you had the GF marking and knocking down to reduce damage even more, and the GWF and CW AoEing them all down.

Everything that has been "adjusted" with the class has been for traits and abilities that actually worked, while leaving the mountain of broken traits and abilities broken.

No lie, and this is to Cryptic before I quit I spent hundreds of dollars gearing and tweaking my cleric he was so boss and sooooo much fun to play running a dungeon like a boss tanking 30 trash mobs "no lie" in a boss fight with the rest of my premade HAMSTER their face while I held heal aggro on all.

Now....... You have tried to accommodate the "heal bot" crowd increases to the at will divine heal beams with decreases to the tools that made us tanky, and build action points to stay tank, and we all wonder why.

You lost a customer a few months ago that was pumping a large amount of revenue into your game, all because you decided to change your original design. If you indeed want the cleric to be a heal bot, then healing word needs to be increased by about 300% to heal for the same amount as a melee can strike for "or a little less" if you ewant to mimic your game off of every other MMO, but this wont get a customer like me back; because I played you game because it was different, and you gave in to the forum superstars.
