confused about t1 and t2 gear

At level 60 I went to the Ah and bought all purple gear. Now I am hearing from people that there is t1 and t2 gear out there. So I went to the AH and looked and couldnt find 1 single piece of gear that had t1 or t2 on it. So what is t1 and t2? And how can I tell what kinda gear I bought. Could it be t1 or t2 gear? If so how would I no?

Basically is easy for the set piece. If the 2 bonus set give you 400 as bonus, this is a T1 gear; if give you 450 this is a T2 gear, For the weapon and the off hand ( the only whit bonus set atm are the Cn item ) you have to look at the stat they giving. I don't know what class are you, but usually just look at a Cn weapon, and go back llok the other. If you see the stat from the weapon you look have a minimal difference ( about 30-40 point stat ) that prob is a T2 weapon of your class. If you need some help on DC item, try found me in game as DtHouse on dragon server, guild Legione ^^ see ya and have fun

T1 and T2 stand for Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Basically they are levels of power so Tier 2 Gear is more powerful than Tier 1 Gear.

There are also Tier 1 and Tier 2 Dungeons. You can find out which are which by checking the descriptions in the queue selections.

There's more information on Armor Set Items on the Armor Set page in the Official Wiki. :)

Put simply, if it came form an epic dungeon whose gear score requirement for entry was less than 8300, it is tier 1 piece. The issue then comes when you look and some combination of stats is more preferable for a character than another, even though a piece may be of a lower tier/quality.

Thank you all for your replies... Im still confused and have in in game friends to ask. I asked my guild and their answer was "lol" so im a bit embarrassed about this as I made it all the way to lvl 60 not knowing this and alot of other things in game. To the moderator: I found out about the t1 and t2 dungeons the hard way. Me and some 1 else went into a t2 dungeon and died within seconds and u needed a GS of 9.2 and I am only 9.3. but that was funny. I was like "WHATS HAPPENED! I blinked and died. HAHAHA. As for the t1 and t2 gear I bought mine on the AH cause I couldnt find a group. Its kinda sad for me as I have never experienced a hi lvl skirmish or a dungeon. Queuing for it gets me no were and I have played solo all the way to 60 as it is sooooooo hard making friends in this game. I am on mindflayer if u care to look me up even if its just to look at my gear to tell me what it is I am wearing.
To Jacksoon: I dont think I have a set its just a bunch of purple pieces thrown together with stats that I thought are good. Im sorry but I dont no much about the game but Id love to learn and read this forum all the time.
