Not necessarily. Two nights ago Essence of Aggression Premade played another Premade.

Their make-up:
4 GF
1 GWF

Our make-up
2 GF
1 DC
1 CW
1 TR

We beat them by a small margin (150-200 points I think), even though they had insane point control.

My point is when everyone has uber gears, TR is no longer that OP like people describe. Sure, the TR still racked up some one shots with LA in videos, but it was the GFs who dominated the match, not "one-shot" TRs.
You say 4v5 is impossible? Cool story bro.

Geared TRs with BiS gear and enchantments can easily one-shot BiS CWs, TRs, and many DCs, GWF, and GF depending on the build. They're they only class that can do this with an Encounter power (not from Lurker's). Most of us can dodge or block, but it isn't always that simple. Level 60 PVP is fast, furious and messy.

So let's go ahead and nerf that Cleric's Hammer, shall we?

Agreed.

Also agree with you degra.

Imo, only real way to beat a team like that is just stick and move =) Gotta out cap them and best to stay away, specially if they are staying together.

I played a match lastnight, solo pugged ..cant remember the names, but these 2 GF's were like twins. Everytime I fought them, I literally was in the air from full health to 0 everytime, lol. After 3 runs going at them I said screw it, just started capping everything and we won.

They sat on our point and the rest of my team just HAD to fight them and made themselves cannon fodder the entire match. Luckily the other 3 on there team were terrible so I had only 3 bads to contend with backcapping and taking over middle.

Cheers boys!

I love it when people are like "Omg! 40-60k crits!? See! Rogue is obviously OP!!" and they say nothing about the perfect vorpal, the best in slot gear, the rank 8 and 9 enchants and the noobs they are playing against. After all of this debate it blows my mind that people still argue this point without considering all the variables involved with crits like that. Just because you got dominated by a 1000$ rogue doesn't automatically mean the entire class is OP. Same goes for perma-stealth greater tene players. These characters are OP because the people playing them spent absurd amounts of money making them OP. The quickest way to let people know you don't know what you are talking about is to discuss numbers like these as if they are achievable by 95% of the player base, which they absolutely are not. My favorite posts are the ones that say something like "fine, i'm just going to roll a rogue then so I can run around automatically killing everyone in sight". Rogues without the best enchants and a lot of skill, get dominated by just about everyone...

I just want to show these "omg 40-60k crit LB! OP TR!" that like you said before with "perfect vorpal, rank 9 enchantments, and so on" any class could be OP not just TR.

TR is not OP.
What is kinda OP is the lurkers which i admit myself its OP, i wouldnt never complain if it was from 60% to 40, i think 25 is too much.
CoS nerf is HAMSTER and i cant understand.

The videos was not made 'against noobs' i just pvp'd dude, so u assume just because im good so everyone else im figthing is ****? anyone of u, feel free, mail me and we play some premades for fun, and i will one shot u too. (Beholder)

IMO everyone who is crying about TR is **** and loser, TR is way weaker than top tier GF, and u hardly going to win them on 1v1, same as with top tier DC, anyone can kill TR like ****, look at me, 700 defense, 22k life, and im OP?? All i have is 2 dodges and 4 sec of ITC, use ur brain and learn how TR works, and u can fight back.

And ya'll whos crying, wait for the nerf, and u will see ill still one shot u and there is nothing u can do about it, just QQ like a loser.

Ok.
Yes, thats what i said on my first posts, its not just "play rogue and kill everyone" and its also not just having the items and kill everyone, i'd say its 50% gear 50% skill.

Of course you have to spend cash to be as good as other players with that kind of gear. Are you trying to say you are just as good as those players with your sub par gear and enchants? You may think you are but we all know better. Im not the one who spent $200 on a spider mount /snicker.

Thank you for clarifying that you are among the 95% in this game.

Because you have awesome gear.....in no way means, you are awesome. I have quite a fiew videos of crushing people in pvp with 13k+/perfects/10's....because they are bad, and have the mind set that you do. That you actually believe by buying all sorts of fancy items, that somehow makes you among the elite makes me /lol. I've been dominating people just like you since EQ 1 15 years ago.

I'm not saying I'm as good as "anybody". I dont have to say anything. Run into me in PvP on Mindflayer and make your own judgements.

When I'm done with the job I'm on, I have videos waiting to be posted of dominating Credit Card Bandits with attitudes just like yours.

I guess I didn't say that very clearly. What I meant to say was that Rogues without the best enchants and/or without a lot of skill are easily killable by every class and often are. My point was directed at the people who watch videos of 45-60k crits and then cry about how Rogue takes no skill and you just run around 1-shotting people, which is not true. To your point I say that people with high skill are perfectly capable of doing well with less than stellar gear, but it takes skill to do so. Rogue is nowhere near the automatic easy mode class that people crying try to make them out to be when they see an insanely geared rogue running around killing everything...its simply not an accurate portrayal of what an overwhelming majority of rogues experience in PvP.

This isn't everquest and the fact that you even brought that up is laughable. I come from games like shadowbane, full pvp. no safe zones. But it does not matter, what matters is you are not on the same playing field as other player's who run high end gear on their TR's. It is simple math, and yours does not add up. I feel i am wasting my time talking to you. Out of all the games I have played this one happens to require the least amount of skill and the fewest buttons to push, but if you feel it requires skill (judging by your screenshot in your sig you seem impressed with?) than maybe it does for you. In the end I have to remember I am dealing with a person who runs a lesser vorpal? Spent 200 bucks on a spider mount (instead of good end game gear) and says his TR is just as good as players who have much better gear and much more Dps? what were they credit card bandits? gg.

In your case l2p obviously applies. Your threads are nothing but complaining about getting worked by TR's in PvP. You're like a child that wanders into the middle of a movie and asks what is happening. Out of your element completely.

You implied you need to spend $$ to have a good character. I laughed at you.
Since you've been playing EQ1 and are implying that I suck as a player and you own you might remember something?

In EQ1 there was once in the 6 years I played it a server wide competition between the classes - Best of the Best.

I played on Veeshan, same server as the best guild Fires of Heaven. I was a bard and had to face 3 bards from FoH in the competition. The top bard in FoH was Krip (not confirmed that he was Kripparrian who most know from this game) who out geared me by far.

I came out on top and got a title for the trouble.

Please don't come running with assumptions and old merits about how you own. You fool yourself, no matter the fashion pack and mount you bought for $200. You are backed by a badly balanced class and fail to distinguish your own skill from this.

I was there in 99. Pretty sure Aftathott won the Bard BoTB(Afterlife)
FoH was hardly the "best" guild. Legacy of Steel had more first kills server wide then both Afterlife and FoH. Legacy of Steel/Afterlife were a toss up in BoTB. I seen more Cats In Hats members win in BoTB then I did FoH.

In PvP, it's capturing the points that counts not the kill. Why the h*** some of you guys wants to compete with the Rogue's kills? Can't u understand that the main dpser in this Game is the TR, the single burst damage class, it's normal to deal high single damage if the class lacks aoe damage skills. Note that this TR is well geared with perfect items and enchantments not all of us can 1 shot anymore after the nerf. After the nerf of LA you would rarely see a TR 1 shot someone(1 out of 15PvPs) simply because not all TR has the same damage this guy has. Nerfing the TR more would make this class completely useless in PvE, because of PvP whiners who gets owned by TR(The Main Dps class). If a TR has full gears and high enchantments, and gained his action points by 100%, he deserves to 1 shot the enemy with LA and LB, which is almost impossible after the nerf. Just like a well geared CW-They'll CC,Encounters, then Ice Knife(Daily)100%-0% w/o giving u a chance to fight. Without Ice Knife(Daily) they can't combo u to death, just like TR w/o LA(Daily) we can't 1 shot u. The TR would be obviously balance after the patch, but there would still be whiners from PvP because, they can't kick the a** of TR.

TR is a single target dpser, they would or should probably dominate every class in 1v1. But the reason they can still get many kills in 5V5 is simply because of stealth, which allows them to kill a target unaware 1 by 1. If a TR is well geared then, why don't u ask ur team to focus their attacks on the TR first when he appears so none of u will get killed easily by a TR. Accept the fact that TR dominates PvP through kills, while the GWF dominates the PvP through soloing points and it needs an army to take him down. Remember that every class has it's own role, balancing classes in PvP affects PvE because they must be still able to do their roles. Since PvE is affected if a class is nerf/balance in PvP, it's impossible to make all classes 100% balance in PvP. Complaints abt a certain OPness of a class will nver disappear in this game.

No. Just because you are single target does not lend itself to being able to face roll every other class.

On a PVE note: You are single target that can out damage an AOE class when there is 50 mobs on the screen.

This video makes me laugh.

First off, the guy is running pure glass cannon with a perfect vorpal, and mostly rank 8 enchants. Builds like that die as often as they kill.

60k crit? Yeah, that happened only after his 4 other teammates debuffed the HAMSTER out of the single opponent they ganked.

I hate to break it to you guys, but a dps GF with the same amount of gear actually does more dmg without critting.
