Didnt get credit for a quest..why?

I asked for help In The Whispering Caverns for the Xorlannia quest and some 1 came to help. I shared the quest with him. At thge end after the boss was killed I didnt get the credit for the quest nor the chest. 2 things happened while the boss killing. For about 5 seconds everythings went into slow motion (dont no if that is a CW skill or not.) It wasnt lag. second thing was I never got to hit the boss.

Is it because i never got to hit the boss that i didnt get the credit Or the slow motion thing or a glitch?
