I need to get this straight before I go on a major rant about the pain and stupidity of this, not to mention the inconvenience. . . If I am understanding correctly, all 'current' lockboxes are being removed...they may come back later with re-tooled innards thanks to the new content. Fine, revamps are cool. . .SO WHAT DO I DO WITH THE 30+ I HAVE NOW!!!!
I don't get any 'throw away' money to get keys, nor do I have any substantial amount of AD. In short, I can't get any keys for my lockboxes until next month. I was saving them for a new character build. Thought I had all the d@mn time in the world and now you tell me that before I get to use my back stock they will disappear!! Who thought this was a good idea!! Destroy my inventory so you can 'adjust' outcomes of the new! What if I don't care, what if im happy with what may have dropped from the old boxes that I won't get to open =_=
If I am mistaken then simply take this as an opinionated article. If I am not mistake then this is a rant and you can color me pissed off =_=
Why do people get angry about a new lockbox? This is something i don't understand.
If you ever lose them (and you won't), don't worry, it has no value. You'll just get the new lockboxes. The items from the special talmarune trade bars will still be there, forever, anyway.
If you don't plan to open the current lockboxes, i suggest you just discard them. It's a waste of inventory space and it will never be valuable.

They can also be sold in the market for some AD, which is better than discarding them.

This is clarified in the news item:
Starting today, August 15, Nightmare Lockboxes will contain the Mystic versions of both the Heavy Inferno Nightmare mount and the Phoera companion. These new lockboxes will drop for one week until Fury of the Feywild is released. After Module 1 is live, these Mystic versions of the Nightmare Lockbox will return back to the normal version, but no new Nightmare Lockboxes will drop after the Module is live. If you wish to obtain a Mystic mount or companion, please open your lockboxes before Thursday, August 22! The new Feywild Lockbox will appear in game after Fury of the Feywild is released. More information will be available on these new lockboxes next week.
I'm pretty sure existing ones remain in your inventory.

If it is like STO (which is the same company), then you will KEEP the current lockboxes and may want to hold on to them for a little while (especially if nightmare won't come in other boxes) they will be limited edition now like STO, new lock boxes come and go but the keys will open all

Correct. After Fury of the Feywild is live, any existing Nightmare Lockboxes will remain in your inventory.

I was just ticked to think that my stockpile would simply disappear. It's almost like being robbed. Now that I know they aren't going anywhere, my would be anguish has been quelled It's not even truly about the lockboxes so much as the idea that they would screw their players over like that. I'm glad they wouldn't though, so far ;p I appreciate you guys calming me down and setting it straight

Don't bother replying to him, hater's hater. He won't really open them anyways even if he had the money...

Please review my campaign and I'll return the favor.
