Player crafting is pretty much useless for anything but pants and shirts please do something to make it profitable to players.
Uncommon ingredients are a small fortune; you cannot possibly break even selling items.
You get to upgrade all your NPC Assets from white to green to blue to purple why not the tool assets not to mention as it is the worn tools cost you a small fortune and they cannot be upgraded. You still have to get really lucky or spend Zen to get higher tier crafting assets.
Make player made gear best in the game period! Add desired item recipes such as..
Plate/Mail smiths – Mount armor cosmetic only but hey why not
Leather – Cloaks for all classes
Tailor – BAGS!!! 6/12/18 and 24 slot as levels progress
Alchemy – Expand to Enchanting and add player made enchantments
Leadership – Companion upgrades

Lastly add currency option to AH for player made items to include gold.
You see nonstop zone messages players trying to sell items for gold as they need gold for more profession items not AD or allow all profession items to be purchased with AD at a reasonable conversion say 1000AD to 1gp.

You cant upgrade white assets to green, just like you cant upgrade white tools to green.

And that fact is a big hindering for crafting.

if they allowed you to upgrade your tools then they wouldnt make tremendous amounts of money from people spending 300-1600 zen a shot on their professions packs.

I do agree that there needs to be many more items that can be crafted. Crafting should add variety to the market not add more HAMSTER to it. For instance crafted gear should give an extra bonus of some kind either another stat or instead of a utility slot throw in a defense slot instead. Crafting just needs to be made more worthwhile instead of a huge money sink.

does it make sense that platesmithing or mailsmithing can generate 800 XP for 8 hours of wilderness searching for ore, but the maximum XP that can be made in leadership is 240 XP? that's for 8 hours of war games training. as a physical act, ore searching that generates 10 ore in eight hours seems to be a far less strenuous activity than WAR TRAINING... but... i dunno... maybe it's just me.

and i agree that the inability to upgrade white profession assets is hindering. that means that through all other ways that you can generate AD, you must do this and either convert to zen and put all your faith into RNG or save up and buy the asset tools from the AH. nevermind that you're saving up for better gear already or better companions that you cannot unbind ever.

I think that all reagents should be collected by the workers, but of course with a time proportional to the rarity of these.

alchemy is useless currently.. why not allow them to make potions that remove revive sickness, maybe make a potion that allows you to remove your enchants when you upgrade..

would love for tailors to make bags but that is their money maker in my opinon so it wont happen.

Alchemy is a mess when it comes to the way it works for levelling.

For starters it's heavily reliant on the diabolical rng so you could easily spend a week or more grinding out numerous potions only to get nothing but an unstable potion.

Then as you level up you still need the basic materials which are drip fed to the crafter. At rank 14 you can gather new materials and vitriols. BUT the only thing thats made for that level is the upgraded aqua vita and that needs the rank 1 materials and even if you use the empowered recipe it still takes 40 mins for that plus another 40mins for a single regia.

Because none of those seem to be included in the rare recipe rotation there's not even an option to use tools for proccing more potions so the best you can do to expidite the gathering of materials is to have a alt constantly clunking through the XPfree mats gathering.

Leadership XP rewards are back to front, character xp is already too easy to get and it's far too easy to outlevel content and miss out on skirmishes or dungeons, especially if you're a dps class. Whereas the xp you get for the craft is pathetically low and doesnt increase past 120 for the ones that give rewards.

The rewards for the rare tasks are also outshone by the basic ones when you compare time spent against the reward gained, a rare that rewards 100AD's might take 12hours whereas a basic 100AD one will take much less time. To assume the player would opt for the longer time is just idiocy.

Armour crafting profs are pathetic, you level the one for your class, make the shirt and trousers for the character then forget about it as there's nothing else you'd use it for. If they want to let people make pants then at least give variety, boxers, briefs, thongs crotchless (tailed characters would thank you for those).... VARIETY is the spice of life and what we've been given is a lump of tofu

Agrees to that spending time and resources on professions is not worth it.

I have almost stoped putting anything up for sale on AH except shirts and pants. Prices has dropped lika a stone on rare crafted armor.
The only profession my chars do now is Leadership and armor to my guildies, but with this stupid random rare stuff it can take days or weeks to get a complete set and then they already have grown out of them. Not even the dyes are to die for, phun intended. Noone that is right in their head buys them, except to get rid of the ugly colors they got from the events that made them look like clowns!

Buying crafting stuff for Zen is to random, so I keep my real money.

Cryptic, you realy need to make crafting, eh professions more useable!

Professions at level 20 (outside of Leadership) are worth to for two things currently:

    1. Reinforcing Arms/Bracers/Gauntlets.
    2. Selling T3 Gear like pants and shirts, which is challenging to make money on.

Keep in mind the entire design of crafting: To make you purchase Profession Lockboxes. That costs Zen. Zen costs money (or a whole lot of time from AD harvesting). There is no other reason from Cryptic.

So just focus on Leadership, harvest AD, and screw their shady business model.

After reinforced armour was made BoP and the prices of shirts&pants dropped, it is barely feasible to bother with the crafting professions...and it is really not feasible to get 4 purple tools to have a good chance of getting tier-3 results.

Alchemy is fun, and easy to raise to 20, but kind-of pointless after that.

Leadership takes pretty long to get to 20, but it's worth it.

The two new professions seem an utter waste of time - not a single item that looks like it can be sold for a profit.

So, yeah...it would be great to see some improvement to the professions.
    Hoping for improvements...
