The option for turning off some graphic effects?

I had huge lags in dungeons every time when the boss spawns imps. That's when the team need the most assistance, but as a cleric, I can barely keep myself alive because the graphics change only every 2 seconds... Many of my teammates experienced the same problem too. And I have already set the specs to the lowest end possible. My machine has a 2.1GHz up to 2.6GHz processor speed, 6G memory, and the graphics card has up to 3G total graphics memory.

Suggested solution: provide us with the option to turn off all effects, whether they for from the game environments or player actions. The game will look ugly, but at least there will be much less lags.

Indeed some of those effects are totally beautiful but unnecesary and are RAM hogs.

Are you sure you have the game turned to minimum? Because my crappy desktop makes yours look like a beast, and I've got it set to "medium", and only have choppy performance if there are like...more than 30 monsters doing special attacks and stuff on screen at once.
Or in the lagfest horror-hall that is the bossroom of the level 60 skirmish...both of which become non-laggy when I just drop the performance slider a touch.

Have you checked all the other options, like antialiasing and stuff? Those can carry a substantial performance overhead.

"up to 3G" for the GPU? sounds like an on-board graphics processor and those are not exactly designed for gaming. i initially had a sub-$100 video card and that thing handled this game like a champ.

Just in case you haven't already you might want to click the Advanced Graphics option box, and manually adjusted the sliders there.

No it's not for gaming, but it's not too bad either, like everyone's daily computer. Get a graphics card would be a solution. Thanks

There are usually more than 30 adds when the thing gets really slow, but there are regular lags in Protector's Enclave, like many people have noted. I've also checked the advanced settings for graphics, didn't help :(
