Just to keep track. I just was curious how many tries it would take to get my wolf since it seemed to be easily dropping for alot of people.

I'm so sick of that skirmish now I want to barf and I still didn't find my own wolf. It just feels good to earn your own, well I gave up and bought one.

So those of you who kept sort of track, how many times did you try before giving in and buying one?

30-ish CTAs. So far I've got a weapon for everyone (two for the TR, so she can have one in each hand), a buckload of ADs and dyes, as well as two wolves. ;)

Hey. But at least you had fun... And that's all that matters. RIGHT?

I had fun the first 10 trips. After that it was just a grindfest with people who seemed intent on bouncing mobs out of my AoEs and line attacks.

You don't happen to be in the group with the hardcore kicker, do you? But yeah, that's really annoying unless you do it against friends. I used to do that a lot in another game. Me and a friend was grouping a lot, with me a DPS and her the melee tanky. She attacked an enemy, I threw the enemy away over and over. I sometimes wonder why she bothered be my friend. :p

Fun with lvl 20ish clueless lowbies not even having interesting spells to make your run smooth? Nope. I've done the skirmish over 50 times. Still no wolf. And i'm sick of carrying every single person in every single group i get in. Being top damage as a healing cleric/tanky GF is fun 2-3 times, then it gets tedious quickly.

I often out-dps lvl 60 rogues with pvp gear. WTF guys, did the worst players in game decided to join my runs?

For those of you who got a wolf, was it just in the chest at the end? I've done it a handful of times and have some dyes to show for it. Hats off to OP for running it 70x.

Yeah, it's in the chest at the end. Usually, by the time I got each one, it took a second for my brain to even register it. It was so used to seeing dyes and enchants.

0/71, I'm just a glutton for punishment. If I actually get it I'll find a way to make a trophy out of it. XD

Don't even care about the companion, this event is the best way to farm enchants in the game atm. Not to mention the gold.

Same. It's especially annoying when you get the usual dyes and that, but with the added 1.000 rough ADs. I'm so used to getting the dyes, that when they add the ADs, it takes a few seconds to register that it's just the same, old stuff over again. Still, at least I won't have to bother anymore until the next CTA. ;)

I feel your pain man, once I was on my GWF and I was grouped with another GWF in full avatar gear. He probably had double my gear score but somehow I double his dps.

I created a orc TR b/c I thought it would be cool to get him 2 orc cleaves. I was level 7 and everybody else was level 60 and somehow I outdps'ed everybody in the group!

I took screenshots to prove it but I don't want to share them without blanking out the names.

76 dyes, 7 weapons and 3 wolves all on my CW. I got my 1st wolf on my 15th run, a lot of people I run with seem to pick it up quickly.

Only had a few groups that were knocking everything all over the place and when that happens I just stand there, I'm not going to chase it down.

Someone asked if it was in the chest in the at the end, yes it is, you will get the wolf / weapon skin instead of the dyes.

The thing is this was a limited fun event. They shouldn't leave people feeling like they have to grind for 3 days straight just to get an item... If they're lucky. Cryptic should have had a token system or something. If I had to do it again I'd just save the hours of time spent trying to get the item and just fork over ~40k AD that they were going for on the AH.

And for people who say the wolf isn't that great they are right. However there is an achievement for Companion collecting so the more one can get the better.

Didn't know about the achievement, already got the wolf at 0/50. I just wanted the satisfaction of getting it myself. Yea wanted. I'm tired. So I am stopping at 79. Just don't want to hit 80 and get nothing for it again.

Using just my GF since she gets into the skirmish instantly....... :o
    After 60 battles = 6 Orc Wolves + 7 Axes + 43 dyes :D
None of my other toons were able to get a Wolf but luckily my GF was nice enough to share

Love the suggestion of having a Token system for such events... they could allow us to get a wolf or weapon skin of our choice every 10 or 15 skirmishes.. This would make it a lot less frustrating for some of us who never seem to have any "luck" with RNG.

Got all 3 different items in 4 runs on my GF (dye, wep, pet). Hate me now =)

Plus I don't even care for the wolf, since it's essentially vastly inferior to my dire wolf (who I already have at rank30).

But yea I had the same experience of suffering thru bad pugs. Most of my runs were actually mainly level60s, generally with at least pvp gear purples. But yea I easily lead every meter every run.

One had a wizard who constantly used repel, ice storm and shield - no blackholes ever - in a group with 1x gf, 2x gwf. I had to tell him off, and the level 20 gwf was like yea I love you for saying that heh.

This is why we need to kill the stupid queue system. It's fine for noobs with no gear, aggravating for veterans.

If we had a simple lfg system that actually worked, we could just put up an LFM that says "CTA. only people who post in teh forums join this" .. (since most of the better players post here).. Course youd still get noobs requesting to join, but at least wed have the CHANCE to group with players of similar experience.

    Random is bs.

PS: I'm not usually particularly lucky. Last event I wanted that crown on my CW - got none in 50 boxes.

Ran the skirmish about 30 times between my 2 toons, got the wolf after about a dozen on my GF. Other than that got Dyes, Enchantments, and 4 skins (3 on my GWF), and 4 blue weapon drops. Never got any AD.

Seriously.. why don't people play the game for the sake of playing, but for rewards and achievements?

Hey guys, I got one after ... I'm not totally sure (don't want to say, it's embarrassing) but just keep at it if you want it. All I know it was alot of them. Trust me when you do eventually get it, it makes it just that much better.

I dunno if this will help but maybe something to try. Try playing a few and not picking up anything at all until you loot the reward chest at the end. Oh, and be sure to spin around counter clockwise 3-times prior! :p

:D yeah I did this a few runs around 4-5 of them, and to my surprise I got my very own. Now what am I gonna do? Well I'm gonna go to skirmishland!

I love the skirmish game play, I love it so bad it hurts!

    P.S. Will skirmish for food!
