Worst event RNG ever =/

Over 30 runs and no companion seriously? Honestly never played a F2p/B2p/ or P2p that had such a horrible RNG in a event.

Yes I'm aware some players found one on their first or 3rd run. I've also asked the same players how many they found after. General response is none after 20+ more runs.

I could almost understand if this was a purple companion. It would be a contrast in interest since that may actually take away some income from players thinking of buying a purple companion, but alas its a green companion and in no way effects income.

Really wouldn't mind the huge fail in the RNG if you at least gave us something useful and unique per run. Nope, we get a stock pile of the ugliest dye's known to man lol... (Heck for thieves it doesn't really even change the color of the base colors)

So 4 dagger transmutes (heh nice AD sink added to a event...And here I thought players were supposed to be the trolls not the Dev team...at least not unless its April 1st) and 30 ish dye packs later, gotta say this wasn't a fun event at all. If this is what we have to look forward to I may just pass on future events. Better luck next time I guess. =/

I'm not impressed either with chance of loot dropping during this event.

Also, for the orc style weapons, it appears the chance varies based on class. For example, my CW and all the CW I talked to got theirs almost right away.

GF and DC weapons are extremely rare. It took over 30 runs on my GF and I have yet to get it on my DC.

I haven't tried on my TR yet but I believe it took less than 15 runs for my GWF.

The fact that GF and DC are the rarest makes sense in terms of class demographics. You want GF and DC to have to redo the instance as many times as possible so more groups get formed but it royally sucks if your one of those classes.

I think you're just unlucky, I've gotten three copies of the weapon on my DC, and I've only run it a dozen times or so with her. Still haven't gotten the wolf, though. That's what I was mainly after.

If true that would be a really, really low-life trick to pull.

Got the GF weapon 3rd run. Got the DC weapon 1st run. CW and TR queues take too long so haven't run it with them. Haven't gotten the wolf(which is fine by me, because it sucks) but done at 30ish runs.

The dye isn't too bad on the DC and CW. Kinda bad on TR and GF. I don't have a GWF so can't comment on that.

The quality of my Savage enchant in the loot chest is kinda poor. Mostly rank 2.

I got two Cleric weapons in less then 10 runs. It took over 20 to get my first GF weapon. Picked up a second GF weapon on the very next run. Random is random, there is no hard evidence that drop rolls are slanted based on class.

I'd rather have the companion. At least that "reward" wont cost you 60,000 AD to claim. Seriously who came up with that idea?

They did mention that they're planning on lowering the transmutation costs, which is very badly needed (as well as the cost to remove enchantments). When they're doing this, or by how much, I'm not sure.

And fix the transmutation graphic glitches too. Wait a while. They're busy working on more Zen store companions to sell.

    Well, random means random.

But, as a level 60 GF who has over 30 runs without a companion, the conspiracy raised in this thread has perked my interest.

25 - 30s runs (who keeps count anyway?). I've gotten two skull-orbs for the CW, three swords for the TR, two companions and 10.000 ADs. The rest was dye. Not bad.

Oh come on people. RNG is RNG. I ran over 60 runs before finally getting a companion drop. In the same period, I got 6 of the DC weapons. I don't care about the weapons, which kinda sucks, but that's how randomness works. Of all the problems in the game, this has got to be the dumbest thing to whine about.

I add one for every 6 dye packs in my inventory.

The problem is not that RNG, but the apparently super low % they put on actually getting the wolf. As the OP said, this is a green quality pet, so while I don't think they should be common, having run about 50+ skirmishes and not getting 1 is pretty ****ing annoying.

Random is random blah blah blah.. They can make the chance to drop the companion higher. It's a special event do people really need to run it 60 times before they get a reskinned companion? I mean honestly it's just yet another striker companion so not like these are rare or anything. That turns something that should be fun into a grind. Why is that necessary? I pretty much preferred how they did earlier events when it comes to how the rewards were handled.

What I don't get is why people complain about not getting the wolf. Why do you want one? It's not all that good. I mean, c'mon, it's just a random companion? And as for rarity, it's pretty much like the Inferno Nightmare thing from lockboxes. They want you to think it's rare, but to my experience, it's one of the most common mounts in the entire game, other than the regular horses. It doesn't look that good, either. My suggestion is convert as many ADs to Zen as you can, then buy a companion you really want from the Zen-market. Even get the other wolf, if you really need a wolf.

Did the Orc Assault Skirmish 6 times on one character and got 2 wolves, and 4 rank 5 enchants. and 3 packs of dye. No weapons so far, but so far seems pretty good to me.

Got an axe on first run on another character.

I got three wolf, sold the 1st for 60k, 2nd for 35k and i kept the 3rd, also have 3 weapon skin and unknown number of Dye (used to experiment other skin color on other gears).

If you are 60, run with team same level, it has better chance of dropping those what you want.

I guess I am just very unlucky, logged in 80 or so runs (give or take a few). No companion =(

I'm not running to get one, I just like the skirmish gameplay. But the companion would be a bonus! I did manage to get 5 of the many arrow skins for dc.

But yeah I'm kinda leaning toward it's rigged to NOT drop for meh rofl. i do pug alot and get put with lower level guys but that doesnt bother me, I like to save the day!

Learnt my lesson during the Blue Skeletal Dog event... had saved a bit of AD for event drops just like this one and bought an Orc Wolf from the AH for 35K.

Took part in almost 30 skirmishes, got 2 blue weapon skins but no Wolf.... time to start saving for the next event companion!! :p

Well, I ran the first few times with fellow level 60 guildies - got two volves, 5 weapons, and a few dyes. After that I tan with mixed-level groups, and gou nothing but dyes....have 20 of them now.

Not complaining - I got my wolf, but still.
    Hoping for improvements...

I have no idea how many times I did the skirmish (I'd have to count up all the dyes) I got the Maul on the 9th or 10th run on my GWF, my Cleric took only 3 runs (thank goodness, because I suck as a healer and it's probably the coolest looking item) and I don't remember on my CW and Scout.

I got one wolf on my GWF sometime before the weapon. Maybe around run 5 or so.

I never got the 10K AD people keep talking about. I'd actually prefer that to a meat cleaver for a dual wielding rogue. lol

I'd have to say I did at least 30+ runs total. Oh the boring wait times. At least if you could tab to windows until you hear the ding, but no, that seems to just auto-decline you instead.

I do kind of like whole level-less mob idea, though. And now I have enough gold to finish leveling my professions, they get expensive.

Edit: I just looked at the Dev tracker, and this event has been extended until Tuesday morning. Now I find out, I didn't have to grind all night.

35 runs, 30 dyes and 5 transmute, no weapon, no wolf.
On the floor, lvl 1 savage enchants. And in the final chest, lvl 2 or lvl 3 savage enchants.
Oh and the dyes don't stack beyond 20. Then it wastes another slot in your inventory.
So for the moment this event is just wasting 12 slots in my bag.
After the events finishes all this will go to garbage bin

I did about 30 runs with my GF got 1 weapon and rest is all dyes. Im a bit disappointed, do not need the wolf really but it would be nice to get one.
