Coming Soon

A recent email survey asked me what I would like next for Neverwinter. My number one answer is for you to replace the "Coming Soon" items in the game with actual content. Especially the Training manuals for the purchased companions. Sucks that they are not survivable in higher levels.

I know several people that would get a kick out of a ranger class. Very quintessential to D&D games.

So, before you develop any more new content you are going to charge us rl monies, please give us the missing stuff.

Companion upgrades really are 'coming soon' 22 Aug. they have been on the test server for a while (as an upgrade button on max. companions rather than the 'tomes')

Does not help them survive though, that would require a reprogramme!

Except charging us a ton of AD to upgrade the companions is plain just silly.

A new class has been confirmed a long time, and will hopefully be read this year. And yes, it is a ranged class. Not necessarily ranger, though.

I'm assuming a further delay to the 11:59:59 31 Jan (PST) or next year here :P

And still people will grind AD, use their saved up AD or buy Zen to exchange them to AD to get the new goody right away.

If you buy Zen (real money) you can get all the new goodies that come with expansions or add-ons right away. What is that kind of F2P model called again? I forgot....someone remind me, themselves and everyone else still playing, please.

    Enjoy

Make pets take 0 dmg from red circle zones.
This game is designed to make as much money as possible on a day to day basis. It is not designed to be a great long term game.

One of the moderators confirmed that the developers are trying their best to have it out this year. Can't find the thread, sorry. Think it was in the Moonstone Mask section. This was a response to the people who pretty much assumed it would be in Module 1.

Nope. Pretty sure you won't be able to buy the Moon Elf, unicorn etc on the Zen-market, just like you can't buy the Menzo-drow on the market.

Just give companions a percentage damage reduction (maybe 50-75% - could depend on their role) to AOE attacks.

DDO did this and it worked quite well.

Sorry I was being facetious :
I've seen the Lead Dev. interview that said 'this year' & really do hope to see 'Ranger' & 'Warlock' in that time frame!
I was also doing much the same with the timezone the devs are in being a third of a day behind the civilised world (UTC/GMT) :) (so for many players they could release it this year for them & still do it next year of many! (unlikely, most of the world is too drunk to do this!))

But unless they are pulled, some of the 'coming soon' stuff really is less than 2 weeks away! With much of it now available to test on 'Mimic'.

This thread filled with already implemented stuff.

Thats already done. Just pets are so squishy even at half damage they can die pretty quick.

Though a purple defender pet can tank like 10 fireballs, those are pretty tough. Just the other types don't have any kinda of defense, so they go down.
