Considering returning to the game, I have a few questions.

So, I stopped playing months ago when the game was in a pretty bad state.

I was considering revisiting the game depending whats changed.

So, a few questions would be:

Have they made it more fesible to be a more Tank or Healer orientated class rather then all out DPS?
Has end game content got a purpose?

Cheers for the answers guys, if there is anything else people would like to add, for sure do it.

More feasible? Not sure what you mean - I just play a DC and GF, and have enjoyed it from the beginning - I have never found any lack of feasibility. Of course, DCs do (generally) badly in PvP, but *shrug* if you are into PvP, why would you want to play a healer class.

As far as PvE content is concerned, I'd say that DCs and GFs are just as feasible as they have always been. There have been some positive changes - the current "Call to Arms" event is really nice (after a queue issue yesterday was fixed), and there are really interesting things on the preview server (Feywild , and a number of changes).

Overall, I'd say the game was improving .... sure there is still a lot of exploits that need fixing, and gold spammers are annoying as **** but *shrug* unless you tell me just what you had a problem with earlier, I cannot say much more.
    Hoping for improvements...

    Feasible meaning, required.

There was a time where Healing clerics and tank orientated GF's were not needed and people would have a higher priority for DPS class in those slots to make runs faster.

I don't recall a time when healing clerics were not required - there was a time when having 2 DCs in a group was popular (before Astral shields were fixed), and I have seen people wanting some pretty odd combinations, like 4 TRs + 1DC, but no DCs? Never encountered that - and (as a DC) I have never had any problems getting into groups.

GFs, on the other hand - easy if you use the automatic queue system or play with guildies .... if you rely on LFGs - uhm ... depends - playing with guild mates is probably the best way. Also, if you have a reputation for being good, and have friends, you will be asked to join ...from my perspective, a good GF is very much in demand.

Cleric is needed every instance without a question. But they only need GF for these instance: Spelplague Cavern, Temple of the Spider, Frozen Heart. For CN its a no-no :( For Karrundrax they will bring along a GF but not needed.
