Alchemy: Unlucky or Broken

I seem to be stuck at level 15. I've done about 10 experiments with no successes in a row. Since the first 2 came fairly easily this has me worried that something is broken. I've read about the troubles using gateway and I haven't collected xp in the gateway, so that's not it.

Anyone else having problems completing level 15?

    it took me 15 tries to get the 2 successful attempts on lvl 18 so just keep trying. I think the % of success drops in the higher lvl's

    The same thing happened to me a while back - it's the Gateway (if that's what you're doing). Don't use it. It's dreadful :)

    Problem Solved. Apparently I'm dumb. It wasn't the Basic Alchemical Knowledge I was lacking, but the Quicksilver... *face palm*. I usually have the Hide unmet requirements filter checked so I didn't take too close a look and only assumed I needed to do more research.

    Posting my shame so others can avoid the same mishap in the future.
