Trade items between characters?

I know that this can be done, I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I am trading an item between my lvl 50 CW to my lvl 16 DC. I type in send message to: "charactername@dutchy47" (Charactername is the name of my character, Sivachi, if you want to know) and when I send an item to Sivachi it just get's sent to my main char and not to the other one at all. Any ideas?

    Characters on the same account share a mailbox. Did you log in on your other character and see if it can see the mail too? Some mail from the game is character specific but stuff you send to your own characters can be seen by all on your account.

    Yeah, I checked the mailbox on the other guy and he had nothing. Is there a level limit maybe?

    Are they both on the same server? You can't send across servers.

    If they are on the same server you can send the mail to the @yoursccountname without the prefix. Those mails will be available to any of your toons on that server.

    ex: I send mail to @blaackwolfe in order to swap gear between toons.

    Oh, the yare on different shards. Sigh :/ Will they ever be mixed together?

    Cryptic has stated their plan is to merge all the servers into one at some point. No date for that has been set though.
