Combat XP question

When I am fighting a group of mobs and another player or group of players approach and kill them before I can, do I receive all the XP or reduced XP for the encounter? And does the other player or group get any XP that I would have received, thus stealing it from me? I can't seem to find any info on this.

    im pretty sure that if you do enough damage to a mob while in combat and someone else finishes them you still get the normal amount of exp for it.

    Who cares? It takes a week (or less) to get to level 60. You'll be fine.

    Also note that if it is a quest mob you will still get credit. Don't worry about EXP...soon you will be screaming that you are leveling too fast :D
