So, generally speaking, I made my own build for my TR. I picked my own feats and skills and whatnot and basically did everything myself, but I do have a bunch of questions.
Currently Im at about (not 100% sure):
3k Power
3.3k Crit
1k APen
1.1k Recovery
Executioner.
First question: Rings.
Right now, I use 2 Pyrotechnic Bands (125Power, 175Crit, 125APen) and both have Azure 6s. However, Ive been debating switching either one, or both, out for the Ancient Necromancers Ring of Undeath. Thoughts?
Second question: Defense/Utility Slot.
Right now, my belt has the only defense/utility slot filled, and I gave it Life Steal. For TRs, whats the best ones here to have? Im thinking Life Steal and Movement, but Im not too sure about maybe using Health or Defense instead. Thoughts?
Third question: Fighting GFs.
So yeah, how many times has this happened to you? Stealth, get an attack in, throw ITC up, they just wait around blocking, and then KNOCKDOWN, KNOCKDOWN, KNOCKDOWN dead. Every time, if I dont use ITC, they just kill me. How do you fight these GFs? I cant damage them, or fight against them because I just get CCed to death. I run ITC, LB, and either Smoke or Impact (been using impact lately). Thoughts on fighting GFs?
As far as fighting GF's..In the past I've said I thought Duelist Fury was a joke in pvp and I definately take that back. Duelist Fury is my go to for fighting a heavy gwf/gf group. Do your best to get duelist fury 3rd hit on them while in stealth. If you do, there shield is definately gone, and bleed keeps it down while you burst them down. My rotation in a perfect scenario is stealth<duelist fury>dazing strike>impact shot>lashing blade>impact--->usually dead by now.
Its not very easy to land DF, but when you do it melts anyone, including GWFs(generally). I think its 50/50 against a good player. If you've ever had someone land DF on you while in pvp, you know it absolutely floods your entire screen with red, and usually will put just about anyone in a panic of holy **** I need to get the hell outta here. Which in turn generally causes people, even good players, to make mistakes out of sheer panic.
When possible, if stealth comes back and no shield, I love using dazing strike in stealth. Does a ton of dmg, and the stun lasts quite awhile.
Not sure on the rings, currently I'm going for ArP>crit>power.
For the belts, I definately reccomend going for lifesteal...I changed up my enchants to slot Lifesteal on every piece I can, its definately saved my *** quite a fiew times. Defense? Imo I dont generally plan on trying to tank anyone(not saying you do), but thats my logic in why I "dont" slot defense. I feel that lifesteal is a much better choice, and of course movement.
Hope this helps bud, my 2cents
Thanks a lot (:
I used to run DF, but I switched to Sly for consistency. Whenever I get the first few hits off, people either leave or are bad players. When Im stealthed though, I dont have the time to get off a full DF and use the stealth for my bonus on Impact or LB. I also dont use Dazing strike, but maybe Ill give it a shot.

Dont target GFs unless you have Lurker's Assault, its very dangerous

I run movement speed where I can. I don't have any math to back up lifesteal so I'd rather go for something I know is effective for my play style.
Duelist's Flurry is great if your opponent is kind enough to let the bleed go off. I prefer Sly Flourish for the faster animation.
When it comes to fighting GF's or GWF's for that matter. I don't engage them 1v1 unless I have to. I find that in group fights going for their squishies and pushing them out of the group fight is more beneficial than locking horns with a tanky class. I go stealth and make a B-line for the back. If you're in stealth you should be able to get all of your daggers off before losing it. Just before you lose stealth, attack from behind using Impact Shot to get a stun in.
You really shouldn't have to use ITC unless the GF is able to figure out where you are and use an aoe knockdown.
My main rule of thumb is to know when to fight and when to cut and run. You'll know fairly quickly when you're outgunned and need backup to take someone down.
First question: Rings.
Stay with pyrotechnics, and use dark instead. You lack armorpen for PvE and PvP
Second question: Defense/Utility Slot.
Defensive slot is HP, t2/CN some skills can oneshot you.
Third question: Fighting GFs.
Duelist Flurry. I'm one of those rogues that run flurry in PvP.
A guardian fighter does not have any escape mechanism. Abuse the fact that he needs to get close to hit you. expect the lunge from encounter or at will and ItC it. Then proceed to flurry, then back out. he is forced to use fighter's recovery, otherwise hes a regen build. If fighter's recovery-> he wasted a daily. Regen build -> ignore him, proceed to kill his team.

You definitely don't need over 50% crit, I don't know exactly what % you would be at but my executioner is around 2.2k crit and has 48% which is plenty imo. Armor Pen is a flat % damage increase, you should at least double your armor pen. with 10% more resistances ignored you will do 10% bonus damage on all attacks, it's a great stat and needs to be at least 2k I would say.
So my suggestion would be swap out azure for dark b/c you're a bit high on the crit and low on the ArP.
Utility: movement
Defense: I like to get a reasonable defense, over 1k. So I slotted a couple azure to bring me to 1-1.2k and then the rest lifesteal.
Guild Master of <Enemy Team>
We are definitely dominating, and we are always about to win.
I know I need APen. Im going to put 2 darks on my Ancient Daggers (when I finally get them). Maybe afterwords I'll switch the Azures for Darks on the Pyrotechnics, or get the other rings. Hard choices.

So basically, avoid GFs.
