Ardent coins

I was wondering if any of you out there think that they might have some sort of ardent coin "Promo" sometime. I RP a cleric, and I would love a HAMSTER white horse and angel, but spending over a year in game seems like a bit of a beatstick. I am trying to spend zip on this game and still get the things I want, which is progressing well. As far as zen goes, the exchange rate is fair, and I have almost achieved my dream mount on my other char. However, I understand where they are coming from in this aspect. To get the best thngs in this game "or coolest", you either have to spend money on their game, or spend a lot of time playing it. I just really wish that the White horse mount was a bit more achievable. But, I digress. I will continue to collect my Ardent coins and who knows? Maybe one day...

I'm a casual player and wish there was a catch up system in place. So if I can only play 1 night a week for 3 hours and pray 3 hours I could get 3 coins up to max (sysdate - creation date).

so you ant the rewards but not do the action to earn the reward.
the coins are for long term commitment to the game daily play to earn them.

Why should you be rewarded and get the same reward item when you fail to do what
others must do to earn the same reward?

As it stands now. Theres nothing to really buy with those Ardent Coins, especially for someone leveling up.
In between the potions (which are level 50, though they are supposed to scale with level) and the horse which is 100.

Theres no middle ground for anything else.

I think you are confusing the celestial coins (max of 7) with the ardent coins (no max).
    Hoping for improvements...

It's the celestial coins that max out at 7/7 and you need to then spend them , most people I know buy the wondrous coffer of augmentation , if you don't spend them at 7/7 then every day after that you are losing potential coins , ardent coins have no cap on them .

Thought it capped at 400 - but either way since there is nothing more expensive than the Angel Purple Companion at 365 coins it is pretty much irrelevant.

I personally hope ardent coins are obtainable 100% every time my char prays. if that was the case I'd have nearly 300 by now.
maybe 2x gain during an event? I'd like to get the white horse too, rather than spend real money on a unicorn... :P

Ardent coins take 30 seconds (max) of game play a day. If that's too much of a commitment for you, then you really can't complain about not being able to get the rewards.

I think OP was about spending more than a year to get the premium rewards with ardent coins

    I pretty much agree.

While it's certainly true that not everyone can play every single day (including me, as well), it would be odd if you didn't have the ability to logon at some point during the five hour grace period to pray and then log out -- takes at most a couple of minutes. I can see not being able to do that due to travel or something like that (international travel in particular), but I would see that as a special case that one should expect to interfere with the accumulation of coins. I don't think the system is bad because sometimes your life will disrupt you from taking advantage of it, really, given how little time it takes to actually login, pray, and logout.

You don't lose ardent coins if you do not pray for a while. Only celestial coins, which cap at 7 any way.

The game isn't exactly a big risk if you ask someone you trust to do the logging in for you if you can't do it. That said, I'd like to get the unicorn as well, and am saving up zen as I make it (with diamonds and then converting), but I'm not sure how much they're going to cost. Does anyone else know? And, hopefully, all characters on that account will be able to use it if you get it too.

I suppose it's not just the commitment (As some people were very blaise in pointing out), It really comes down to the fact that it is one of the only obtainable white horses in the game, unless you got a promo code from a magazine. Essentially, I just want a white horse that I can obtain in a reasonable time frame. People have already started to leave the game by "clocking it". That's in just two months. It took me a while to decide whether I wanted the **** thing in the first place, and I used coins before that. Even a white common horse would be fine. And another thing, not once did I "complain", merely mused at an idea, and made a suggestion. Some people are kinda condescending around here. I like the fact that you don't have to always pay to get good mounts, and companions, but I think 100 days and 360 days, respectively, is a bit far fetched. 80 days seems like a far time for the mount. That's pretty much two and a half months of play. 150 for the angel is a bet more achieveable, and is still a fair achievement when you finally do get it. But, off topic, is there any way for me to get a white mount aside from the one in the vault of piety?

Its a veteran reward. This entire system is F2P way of implementing it.

Its not all that unfair for veteran rewards to be rewarded to veterans. You know, people who have invested considerable time in the game.
