I was playing neverwinter and I really enjoy it. I started playing as a control wizard and also have a great weapons fighter which I play mostly, but I just thought, based on the enemies that are casters that I've encountered through out the game (and also based on previous regular neverwinter nights games) wouldn't it be more logical to have control wizards use staffs instead of orbs? I mean I really like the idea of channelling the wizards power through some type of a focus but I think a staff would look more impressive and generally would be more appropriate than an orb.
What does everybody think?
Wow! I didn't know they've added that spell book I will login with my control wizard and try it out! Also it shouldn't be too hard to use staff animation wise because we could see other NPCs having animations with staffs (like Nashers particularly) so they can probably add these animations into control wizard class. It would also be nice to be able to actually grab a different weapon. Like say be a control wizard but have a rapier or a short sword. Even in original neverwinter nights games you could use these even if you're a caster. Anyways I hope they add a lot more cool stuff into the game, but even then the game is already awesome!
Sorry off topic, but I would also love if they would add alignment system! I mean, this is what made neverwinter games so cool, because we always had to think about our actions in the game. It shouldn't be that hard, in fact I see some elements of Star Wars the old republic in this game. It's not exactly a neverwinter game without alignments, and then give each class alignment based skills which would also be cool with a wizard.

They might have to change the animation of casting Magic Missile for quarterstaff users.
