The Mysterious Woman - Venturing in the Feywild.

So, this is my first quest. I love D&D 4e and there are a lot of things that are not in this game. A few races, monsters, etc. So I made this quest mostly to bring back a few elements of the traditional Dungeons & Dragons. Since I do prefer "clean" scenarios (more like LotR), I tried to make everything big and clean (I hate visual polution, but I tried to aim for an "epic" feeling. I wanted to make the player feel small in the maps almost all the time).

I hope you guys enjoy and that you guys can give me a feed back since it's my first quest.

It's pretty much a Hack'n Slash linear quest with a lot of story-line context for almost everything that happens there.
My friend who played it says it feels dynamic, challenging and refreshing with the new maps and new NPCs showing up. But you know, that's a friend's opinion. Anyways. I hope you guys can check it out and enjoy it.

Making an appearance: Eladrins, hags, xivorts and others.

It's meant to be played solo, but you can play with your friends.
The boss battle was made to feel epic and really, really hard.
It might be only the part 1 (I'm thinking about making a campaign out of it)

If the images look weird here, open it in a new tab and check the full image.
I don't why, but here, I can see only half of some images...

An Eladrin, or High Elf. Core Race from D&D 4e:

This is the clean visuals I'm aiming for.

I hope you all can enjoy it. I did have fun making and playing it.

Those are high elves, also known as eladrins. The closest beings to the feywild.
They are a core race from D&D 4e. You can find them in "The Mysterious Woman" quest.

Good story with mystery. I like the settings, really create sense of beautiful scenery harmed of some evil presence with the domination thingie. The costume customization is impressive. What makes me uncomfortable is the difficulty. It is terrible for my taste. I get attacked even in dialogues of patrols.

I did put a lot of effort in the customization. Thank you.
I'm glad I could transmit the right feeling. I wanted exactly this thing you described:
I like the settings, really create sense of beautiful scenery harmed of some evil presence with the domination thingie

About the difficulty, it's just... me and my friends are old school gamers. So, to people like us, it's not fun unless it's actually challenging.
So I used two of my friends as beta testers and all they would say is: "It could be harder".
Actually, they still say that. But since even I find the boss fight hard, I left it that way (lol).

The important thing is: It's beatable with all classes. It might get harder to some, though.

But it's on the description. I noticed you realized that when you were rating me by the review you left, so thanks a lot.

About being attacked in dialogues. I kinda designed the map so that wouldn't really happen. But I can imagine the one map where it could actually happen. I'll check yours. Just found it.

I'm so glad I'm getting positive reviews so far.

When all you have to say is "Loved it!", my only option is to guess you actually enjoyed it that much. :)
Though I really would like you to comment a little more about it. lol

I'll get to your quest as soon as I can. I played adylhere's not long ago.

I find it hard to comment in details about foundry authors quests because I like to enjoy them from the perspective of player, to simply dive into the quest and not to think “Aw, look at this foundry asset and how he/she used it” and stuff like that. So from a players perspective it is “I love it” or “It’s fine” :P I know it’s selfish and that doesn’t contribute to the community but oh well ;P

The patrol that attacks when in dialogue is the giant patrol on the slope. I don’t think talking to the NPC is an objective but I like to talk to intractable NPC for immerse.

So do I, but there are many different kinds of players
to simply dive into the quest and not to think “Aw, look at this foundry asset and how he/she used it” and stuff like that.
Again, not the way I usually think, but I can't help it. I do that sometimes. Or the opposite, like "that's way too recycled". Dunno...

I'm probably gonna make that giant come from a little further. I still want the player to see him walking down. It looks pretty cool.

    And btw, lol

I'll trade you a review. :) My quest is in my signature.

    EDIT: Played and reviewed it.

    Great quest!

Highly enjoyable imho, only thing that it might need is an easy mode with less encounters. Some people will downrate you for too much combat/encounter stacking (it's inevitable since you can't please everyone lol - just like some will find it not hard enough hehehe)

Overall, I think you've done a great job.

I kinda like the idea of making an easy mode but at the same time I feel like taking the difficulty away will end the "epic" feeling so many people comment about. Which would be really sad...

I'm not sure if I left any comment but I'm quite sure I rated it. I remember goblins everywhere in the first part and the silver dragon. The second part I played a bit of it in a friend's account but I can do that again from the beginning with my fighter.
If there's really no review of mine, I can play it again.

Imperal... Your quest has an awesome ending. Reviewed. Two things bothered me, though. A giant elf head and the nashers attacking the slayers (which was actually a good thing because things there got so, so hard! lol).
Oh... Yeah... Nashers showing up as zombies was quite weird too but anyways.

LOVED the boss fight. Reminds me of my gemini temple boss fight in the other quest. I just loved it

    OK. Thoughts:

There are a couple points early on in that first map where the ghost appears/disappears so fast I don't actually see where it is, though this is not too confusing.

The use of "wanna" in someone who speaks very formally (I think this is the 1st or second time she talks, it's on the first map) is a little out of place. So is, later, "gonna." She speaks quite formally except for those two cases.

The ratio of text volume to dialogue options when the eladrin are talking is a little high for my taste. If someone's going to be saying a lot, I want more choices for what I'm going to see them say.

At "Find the Cave," I ran into a point where I didn't see a quest path or an indicator on the map, so I ran around until I found monsters, then hit them over the head, which seemed to work.

The Fomorian was nice, though I might have liked him a little larger. The Fomoire are supposed to be giants, for the most part.

Second thing that should be a Fomorian in the cave is named "Ogre Savage" instead.

"A Clue" - runic stone isn't a visible object, just a spot on the ground?

Make dialog NPCs next to mobs non-combat or ignored, otherwise the mobs are going to be sitting ducks.

Boss fight is too long. (Really, the fight by the dead giant is, too, though that one isn't as bad and isn't hard.)

Needs at least some changes of tempo. I used three pots, but more to the point, you don't even have a moment to stop and think you might have scored a material victory before the "surprise" of her not being defeated yet. (Again.) Some things you might consider:

-Putting her as an artillery piece somewhere out of the way that isn't actually part of 1-2 "quest" segments of you defeating "final" monsters.
-Have the room/environment change - you can use appearing/disappearing objects/fog/terrain to help create tempo changes.
-Giving her an interactable "dead" body or artifact to investigate to check if she's dead.

Feels like I'm just wading through bodies, slowly, and that's not terribly exciting.

are you gonna change anything since the new expansion is about the feywild?

Yeah. I felt very discouraged to continue upgrading the quest when I checked the Feywild material in the Foundry.
They even have fomorians there. Which is nice but also takes away the unique feywild feel that I wanted to give by putting some monsters/races that most people didn't know about. Maybe I'll try to bring a different creature. I'll just see what I can do. It's gonna be out in a few days anyways.

    @zerkovaplayer

Thank you so much. This is the most detailed comment about my quest so far.
    OK. Thoughts:

There are a couple points early on in that first map where the ghost appears/disappears so fast I don't actually see where it is, though this is not too confusing.

I though the way point was enough. I'll see if I can make it last longer, I guess...
The use of "wanna" in someone who speaks very formally (I think this is the 1st or second time she talks, it's on the first map) is a little out of place. So is, later, "gonna." She speaks quite formally except for those two cases.

I didn't realize that before. I will change it for sure.
The ratio of text volume to dialogue options when the eladrin are talking is a little high for my taste. If someone's going to be saying a lot, I want more choices for what I'm going to see them say.

    You have a valid point.
At "Find the Cave," I ran into a point where I didn't see a quest path or an indicator on the map, so I ran around until I found monsters, then hit them over the head, which seemed to work.

I can't really control the way point. I'm not sure why it disappeared but I don't remember that happening when I tested...
The Fomorian was nice, though I might have liked him a little larger. The Fomoire are supposed to be giants, for the most part.

Not all of them are gigantic. And there's only one that's not that big. Though it's kinda frustrating that the Feywild Expansion made them. It's nice but I'll have to think about something new to put in my quest now.
Second thing that should be a Fomorian in the cave is named "Ogre Savage" instead.

Not sure how I missed that. Noted.
"A Clue" - runic stone isn't a visible object, just a spot on the ground?

Here it shows up a glowing stone... 2 people reported the same problem which is weird. Cause I can see it here.
Make dialog NPCs next to mobs non-combat or ignored, otherwise the mobs are going to be sitting ducks.

A few of the NPCs are meant to be attacked. I noticed that are a few that shouldn't be, though...
Boss fight is too long. (Really, the fight by the dead giant is, too, though that one isn't as bad and isn't hard.)

Both are meant to be long, like the other boss fights in this game. The first one is actually meant to feel like an ambush. I might change the way the mobs show up, though...
Needs at least some changes of tempo. I used three pots, but more to the point, you don't even have a moment to stop and think you might have scored a material victory before the "surprise" of her not being defeated yet. (Again.) Some things you might consider:

-Giving her an interactable "dead" body or artifact to investigate to check if she's dead.

Feels like I'm just wading through bodies, slowly, and that's not terribly exciting.

I vaguely understand what you mean here.
If you could explain better... Is it all about the last fight?
