hello all, just hit 60 acouple days ago, went out and got focal set (all I can afford right now) and bought a allure stone, I was wonder what advice anyone can give me as far as what gear, stat wise, to put in and also what type of runestones to put in there, I was thinking +crit stones cause it should carry over, but also is it worth socketing an eldritch stone for +8% stat bonus to me if I put in something like +armpn? any thoughts or builds you all have found works are greatly appreciated, thank you.

My advice is to use Savage for the offensive slots if you can afford them. Crit and Arm Pen are also expensive, but the combined stats from Savage outweigh those of Crit / Arm Pen from similar ench levels.

Do a little research on diminishing returns and you'll see why you shouldn't just go overboard in one stat. Recovery diminishes at about 3K, and it's in every single fricken Wizard item out there already. So my advise is not to use Silvery enchants at all. Crit diminishes at about 2K, and arm pen ... that one is harder to figure, because it depends on your party and what you're fighting, but I think the magic number you want is also about 2K. But don't ignore Arm Pen, it is an important stat to increase damage.

Boosting Power is not a bad idea once you reach those "soft caps." Power has no diminishing return.

I do put an eldritch stone in my Ioun Stone personally.

3 eldritch runes, try and get a T2 cleric offhands (161/161/128 stats), they are surprisingly cheap (depending on server) since people rarely think about upgrading their stone. just get whatever items you can find cheaply. they will not bind to your character when you put them on your stone so you can sell them back if you decide you want to change stats/gear

hey thanks for this thread. question:
which rank for the runes should I slot so my cw stats won't go over the optimal? (and with a limited budget, right now I only have rank 5s) this is with my dream gear set in mind, say high vizier?

For offensive, get the max you can afford IMO, and then dump the rest into power when you hit those soft caps. Luckily, Power enchants are cheap, comparitavely. Defensive enchants, keep them cheap until you're maxed out on your offensive ones. Rank 6 is pretty cheap.

well I was tinkering around with my stone yesterday, and I sloted the eldritch(+armpn, +% to stat) and found that it does tranfer over to my stats, so thank you all for the help, definitly going for +armpn on the stone as it is my weekest stat, it was at like 400 while the rec and crit are both 2500+.
