The most light devs have shed is this year.. So no, no new word.. Actually, I thought initially we were going to see the new class with module 1. Guess not according to devs

The new class(es) are not ready for Module 1.
No promises but we will hopefully get a new class by the end of the year. However it seems like there are a few more paragon paths to choose from in the preview.

You are so funny because i didnt found any in preview nor on owlbear. But i sawd some in other topics that others could, but i cant choose from them! Why?!?

You can't pick them on Mimic, but they are sort of there. On the paragon select screen the new powers will appear for a second or two in place of the existing paragon powers.

No NW than til end or the year. Sorry already sick of the playing same old classes since closed beta.
dev said in an interview that the new class is 40% done and wont be out till end of this year. so IF everything works and stays on schedule we will see one november december. if not then maybe early next year.
Just logged in over here after receiving a newsletter in my email. If there is someone reading this who collects community feedback: your game needs more classes, probably more than one more, or paragon paths that make existing classes very distinct. I'm probably not going to play your game again until I hear that it has them. (And I haven't played it for at least two months). Obviously you can't release something that isn't finished, but I'm not sure your development priorities are correctly oriented. Make game first, make money second.

Be patient.
I mean the game has only been out in non-beta for like a month or two. Surprised we are getting new content so fast anyway.
Until ive got a lvl 60 in all the available classes im not too bothered by this, sure a ranger, paladin, bard etc would all be nice but all the basics are pretty much covered and until you've tried them that's a whole lot of content your missing out on anyways..
I'm certainly hoping to see the Ranger class added soon. I remember in Beta seeing items for Ranger and Scourge Warlock dropping.
I'd kind of prefer to get the counterparts to the existing classes first, like we have GF/GWF. I'd rather see Battle Cleric, War Wizard, and Cutthroat Rogue before Ranger or Warlock.
Honestly we should have started out with the five main classes FIRST, before doing any counterparts. Fighter, Cleric, Mage, Ranger, Rouge. On top of this, where is the paladin? Where is the barbarian? Where is the Sorcerer? They messed up before they started. They should have gone with the five base, and built from there, Fighter path= GWF or GF. <---- thats just one example. Mage = CW or SW (Scourge Warlock Presumably). By leaving the base behind, you set yourself up for Ire, hatemail, and bad criticism. But personally, I still love the game. That won't change.

I disagree. I like that they got the game out when they felt they had enough content to show it to the public. I enjoy the game and I'm happy they put it out when it did. The great part is, if you don't think they have enough, just shelf it for a year and then come back when they've added more.
Me, I like that can play right now.

The game just went live a little over a month ago and I don't know any MMO in history that has released new classes that close to launch.
That's true, hwoever most games launch with more than FIVE classes to begin with. This game is fun, but feels unfinished in its lack of diversity. Most MMORPG's launch with a minimum of 6, often more like 8 or 10 different classes. Sometimes with 2 factions and 8 classes on either side that differ to a degree. So its not like we are asking for them to surpass what other MMO's do, we are asking them to try to at least do the minimum of what other MMO's do in this regard.
Final Fantasy beta was this past weekend. They have 8 classes at launch. You can multi-class and specialize - example is once you achieve level 30 'marauder' and level 15 in 'gladiator' you can pick up the 'warrior' job specialization. Not only can you play 8 unique classes, but you can play all 8 on the same character and switch around and specialize. Final Fantasy is just the most recent example to use, but I could throw every other MMO I have ever played out there as examples too - long list.
Other games have both class diversity and class flexibility. Neverwinter has NEITHER. They have 5 classes and 1 paragon path for each. Something is sorely lacking.

There are traditionally four main classes in D&D, not five. Cleric, Fighter, Thief, Wizard. All other classes in the game started as subclasses of the big four, and it wasn't until 3rd edition that subclasses were formally uncoupled from their parent class.

Also, it's rogue. Rouge is a form of makeup.

It will take about a decade before they finish all the class builds in Player's Handbook 1. Maybe in twenty years I can play a Druid.
